RepliCrux11-Jul-07 19:48 RepliCrux 11-Jul-07 19:48  In your user control there is a variable called emSize, -- Either you are setting the value as 0 (and it should not be) -- OR there is some calculation going on in the code, which is resulting the value of emSize to be 0 (which ofcourse should not be) If that does not help, post it the usercontrol code. It's competely useless in today's environment! It's using the correct username and password to login to the database, huh? Then explain this message to me: Login failed for user 'sa'. It's most assuredly NOT using the correct username and password to connect to the database. Scrap the DSN, you do NOT need it, and use the correct connection string in your VB code. Since you'll be running this from a Windows Service, you can NOT use the "Trusted Connection" option in your connection string. Google is the site you need to try to find existing articles to do what you want. Second, if you have a finger print reader, it should provide the APIs to do that, you shouldn't need to have to write them yourself.
