hi, i am building an application in which i have to send a mail when a field in a row of a sql table changes..
I am new to asp.net please help & provide full & sufficient answer

i mean that i have to send a mail to a user immediately when he register with our site . when he register a value in a sql table row changes from 0 to 1.

Go with SMTP. ie., System.Web.Mail namespace

My ques. was not that adjactly..I want to know whether i can attach my console application(by which I am sending mail using smtpserver) to the data base trigger..If yes then how?????

NO, you can't attach your console application with your database trigger. Trigger fired on the database server and console application resides on client machine.. So it is not possible

hi friends
i checked the username already exists or not from database.(it works fine)
now i used popup window same as yahoo ID check.
In yahoo id give ID name and click check avilablity button one popup window displayed and also that ID name also displayed in that popup
how can i achive it

Save the content of the datagrid in the format as your requirement in the file and print this file autometically by raising the print event when the button is clicked.
u can get the output.

Hello,
I am a newbie to ASP.Net. I created my first web application using ASP.Net.
The project compiles and runs perfectly from my local machine.
I did a copy website from my local application onto the web server.
Now, when I open the server website on the VS Expresss Edition, and build it. I get Errors that says:

Error 107 Element 'CalendarExtender' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site. \\\wwwroot\\Form.aspx 501 36 \\\wwwroot\\
I don't know what is causing this problem.
When I run the website on the IE browser, I get a different error that says:

Hey Rekha,
Did you run aspnet_compiler from the same location as you run MSBuild? Same path and same machine? Is there any UNC share invloved when you saw the error? If so, you might need to run caspol.exe (in the framework installation location) to grant permission to the share.

you can use out parameter to get the returned value or you have to do the following.

Hi,
I don’t know if I am posting this message in the right forum, but any way here is my problem. We have developed an application in .Net which runs on the SmartPhone. The application runs fine but we could not able to do one thing, that is, the application should read the cell phone number from the SIM card on which it is installed. I need help on this, If you can provide code, it will really help us.
