Hi this msg i am posting third time,
Still now i didnt get reply...,

I displayed my datas in datagrid,its in one of my frame set...,
Now in that when i click print button,
what are the datas are in that datagrid..,
those want to come in separate page,then it want to print...,
How to do this...,

Save the content of the datagrid in the format as your requirement in the file and print this file autometically by raising the print event when the button is clicked.

Hello,

I am a newbie to ASP.Net. I created my first web application using ASP.Net.

The project compiles and runs perfectly from my local machine.

I did a copy website from my local application onto the web server.

Now, when I open the server website on the VS Expresss Edition, and build it. I get Errors that says:

Error 1 Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. \\\wwwroot\\Form.aspx 396

Error 107 Element 'CalendarExtender' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site. \\\wwwroot\\Form.aspx 501 36 \\\wwwroot\\

I don't know what is causing this problem.

When I run the website on the IE browser, I get a different error that says:

Configuration Error

Hey Rekha,

Did you run aspnet_compiler from the same location as you run MSBuild? Same path and same machine? Is there any UNC share invloved when you saw the error? If so, you might need to run caspol.exe (in the framework installation location) to grant permission to the share.

you can use out parameter to get the returned value or you have to do the following.

int tickedID = 0;

The application runs fine but we could not able to do one thing, that is, the application should read the cell phone number from the SIM card on which it is installed. hello i dont know where i had to post this
I have a postonly.html page which send a "POST" xmlhttprequest at register.php

my problem is while query is complete (and table is updated) extremly fast(1-2 sec) as i can see
my database via Putty.exe

Responce of the

I have a time consuming method and I call it many times in my code.
Every time I call this method it hangs the system.
I need to call this function every time in a background thread, but I need to call it in the same thread every time.

Your procedure is returning int, you can get that in a table (adapter.fill(table) method) which will have one column and a row. and the you can access that int value using
int value = table.row[0];

If I have a gridview containing products it automatically adds the page numbers to the bottom row and when the user clicks the number a postback is done and they are taken to page X listing the other products.

I'd like to make it more search engine friendly so that it doesn't do a postback to get to the next page of items in the gridview. Is that possible?

Only by either displaying all the data at once or implementing AJAX methods. The latter case would not be search engine friendly either.

how to create install shield to deploy my web application and auto create SQL server database and auto install .net framework and do the configuration to IIS automatically

one way is create a batch file which contains the sql query to create the database stuff and attach the batch file to run along with the installation shield for this you have known the user id and password coz its going to be hot coded.

Another way is create a windows application for creating database stuff and attach that exe to the installation shield.

as per my suggestion i ll go for creating windows application for creating database stuff. because we can get the sql server name, user id, and password from the user (in case there no database server installed in the machine we can handle that) and we can configure the web.config file thru this windows application.

Either using a meta redirect or through javascript with setTimeout(funciton, time). Of course you should always provide a plain hyperlink in case the browser doesn't support either of these methods (or they don't want to wait 5 seconds)
