by default value picks as string.
you will have to pasre it to integer using parseInt.

try this:
total += (document.getElementById("technicalScore1").value * 1);
The multiplication will force it to be an int and not a string. I assume you stop the user from entering non numbers ?

hi guys
i am using asp.net1.1 . i am using dropdownlist,,
i have bouned this dropdown with a datasource with data set object,
but i want show an empty string on the click event of the clear button, i dont want
the data binding to be removed, i just want to show the selected text in the drop down
which should be blank string, is there any way ?

i would recomend to add a default text to the dropdown after binding.
dropdownXYZ.DataSource = something;
dropdownXYZ.DataValueField = something;
dropdownXYZ.DataTextField = something;
dropdownXYZ.DataBind();
dropdownXYZ.Items.Add("Select One");
dropdownXYZ.SelectedIndex = ddlEventIDONX.Items.Count-1;

On Clear Button Click event, change the drowndown to "-1"
However, i would recommend this clear button to have javascript function. Why should it make an unnecessary round trip to server and waste time even if that is just seconds.

Of course you can't. The server code runs on the server to create the page, then the page is displayed in the browser, where the WMP object is created. The server code and the WMP object exist on different computers, and they don't even exist at the same time. When the server code is running, there is not yet any web page, and when the web page exists, there is no server code running.

yes. but with Code HTML i can user Object to Play *.WMV ; I try to working with WMP.DLL , i can play movie but i play with media player in client; I think it can, but client must download video first, then in client can paly it; I try to input this Object (MEDIA) in Website; But i can't , Pleasr help me ??? ( (

Your code behind runs on the server and so cannot manipulate the media player on the client. WMP.DLL is intended to control media player on the same computer, which in this case would be the server.

Thank abour your idear; i have just working with WMP.dll; but i can't play movie in servers; With WMP.dll we can play the movie in client. When client click on movie, the movie in server will load to this PC and play the movie in this client; Last choise, i must working with Object in HTML code; May be i don't known more about WMP.dll , i think we can use it in my web. Please go and working with me in this object;

When I execute the function and debug it, I see that.
sometime, it executes very well, my DB is updated that mean home.aspx loaded.

The invalid URL that you are using might be part of the problem. An URL may not contain spaces, you have to encode the URL correctly.
Try:

when I log in and do the function (drag and drop) after save the position to my DB ==> OK.
But i drag and drop back and save ==> it is not save to DB ==> BROBLEM????

Is there anything I need to to do first before applying it to my ASP.Net source code? It's very weird, because when I tried using the "sublink" it will work, but when I used the "sublink1" it won't work. And I need to used them both.
