Trace.Writeline not visible under Vista?

I have a service loader that issues Trace.Writeline as the servicehosts are loaded. When I ran it under Windows XP everything works as expected. When I run it under Vista in debug mode, dbgView does not see the trace messages.

Does anyone know what I have to do from a policy end to get these messages viewable?

DataGridView custom events

I have recently created a custom DataGridView column type (with my own custom cell type and custom control type inside).

I am trying to make my own custom events to go with the cell/column type, but apparently, the DataGridView was implemented quite strangely, and I'm getting event handlers that should be attached once become attached multiple times, never, or in an inconsistent manner.

Has anyone ever run into this before, and is there any good resource that could help me with this?

Hello,

I'm writting an application which check the dependency of imports. I have to register some typelibs for this import. After the analysis i want to unregister these typelibs.
But it doesn't work and I don't know why.

This is the exception: "The structure must not be a value class"

Please help me.

What type of animations? There are multiple sources:

1) Animated GIFs
2) SWF (Flash Movies)
3) Javascript DHTML effects

Hi

Please help me. I am new to C# and SQL Server 2005, especially the exception handling side of things. Let me cut thru the chase

How do I get SQL Server 2K5 to return the details of errors that I generated with "RAISERROR" back to my C# app? When I run the application and a system error occurs, it's fine, I can catch it in my C# app, but I can't do the same with my custom errors. I hope this makes sense. Thank you.

To cite a RAISEERROR section from SQL Server 2005 online help:

"Calling RAISERROR with severity less than 20 from inside a remote stored procedure causes a statement abort error on the remote server. A TRY…CATCH construct on the local server handles remote batch abort errors only. If a remote stored procedure calls RAISERROR with severity less than 20 and the remote stored procedure is scoped within a TRY block on the local server, RAISERROR does not cause control to pass to the CATCH block of the TRY…CATCH construct. However, RAISERROR with severity 20 or greater on the remote server breaks the connection, and execution on the local server passes to the CATCH block."

Read following sections from SQL Server 2005 online help:

-RAISEERROR
-Using RAISERROR
-Database Engine Error Severities

OR

You can return custom error codes to your C# application using output parameters in stored procedures.

Decision is up to you.

Hello All!
Well I am facing an odd issue in C# VS.Net 2005. I designing reports in CR 10. And my requirement is to programatically export the report in simple Text format maintaining its allignment. But the enum value CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.Text is missing and i am unable to export the report into text format. All other enum values are available like Word, Pdf, Excel , Html, Rtf etc but Text format not available. Please what may be the possible solution. Please help me in this regard .

Hi,

I used to have an application which used TTS. The application was working fine for about a year.
Recently (After Installing .NET 3.0? - I'm not sure) I'm unable to run this application any more.

Uhenever I use the SpVoice.Speak(textToSpeak, speechflags) I get the following error:

{"Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004503A"}<br />
Data - 	{System.Collections.ListDictionaryInternal} -{System.Collections.ListDictionaryInternal} Count - 0<br />
Source	- "Interop.SpeechLib"

Also, when I re-build my project I get lots of warning such as:

Warning	1	At least one of the arguments for 'SpObjectTokenCategory.GetStringValue' cannot be marshaled by the runtime marshaler.  Such arguments will therefore be passed as a pointer and may require unsafe code to manipulate.

I've made no changes in my code whatsoever.

Any help is appreciated

I am making a JPEG image totally by code. Basically I am making a rectangle with a border. The problem is I cannot get the JPEG to be transparent. I need everything but the part I draw to be transparent. I can't get this to work if I use GIF, JPEG, PNG... Nothing works. I have been searching for articles online and on codeproject but none solve my kind of problem.

Remember I am not merging pictures and it isn't even a hint in the right direction. With that in mind thanks for any help or advice.

I just reread that and it sounds like I am demanding or cranky, I am neither, just giving as much detail as I can.

JPEG file format doesn't support transparency. GIF would be a better option IMO.

JPEGs don't support transparency. You need GIF.

You can try making the control that holds the JPEG transclucent, but you cannot get true transparency.

Good Day Sir/Maam,

I am making a program to SIMULATE different sorting algrothims such as bubble sort, insertion sort, straight sort and quick sort.

This program is for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. (EG: Show students how the algorithim works)

The setup was, the program will ask the user for the LIST SIZE (Array Size), then the program will ask the values for the array then it will sort the array. I used a list view to show a table of VARIABLES and the LIST. (Like high school simulation) Smile | :)

The problem is, I need to "pause" the loop on every pass. Like in a console app, I put getch() to pause the loop on every pass.

What I want is, after each pass, the LOOP will pause, and there is a command button that needs to be clicked to continue the loop again for 1 pass. Then pause again.

I hope I did not confused you with my english. Frown | :(
