Hi,
I u want to create a single header which spans for more than one columns then you can use the following approach.
After binding your gridview to the datasource you can set columnspan for the cells in the headerrow.
gv.HeaderRow.Cells[0].ColumnSpan = 2;
gv.HeaderRow.Cells[1].Visible = false;

Hi inside my datagrid, i used templte column in that i given "dropdownlistbox"...,
If i change anything in that dropdown listbox based on that event want to be fire...,
Normally in form we have dropdownlistbox selected item change event method is there...,

Give the dropdownlistbox "OnSelectedIndexChanged" event...,
Then call in ur cod place

Try removing any viewstate you're not using, and try to work out what the problem is, is it the code running, or the code downloading to the client ?

i mean to say i am having the grid view just like shopping cart having drop down for product name and having the corresponding text boxes for price and quantity now i want to add new row having no selected item
i am maintaining the value in data table now i want to add new row above the selected row
the problem is i am able to get the values in text boxes below the new row but my selected value of drop is showing in the row which is new means to see the drop down corresponding to rows are not reversed

I suggest you buy a book and work through it so you know how to program instead of blindly copying code from various sites. Articles are great, but you should work through them so you understand the code.
We can't help you, except to say that you've used the keyword 'unicode' and it's not supported. For more info, we need to see the code.

i did that too but every line is executing very well. At the end of lasat curly brace its giving error. i thought there is no error in the program. but i think the error i am getting is general error due to some settings. if anyone aware of this type of error then they may solve.

Do you mean platform independent as far as hosting or viewing? Hosting, yes there are third party programs to host ASP on any major platform. Now viewing and using, it depends on what you mean, when you make a page, some browsers will view it differently but thats the nature of programming in itself. If you better explain what you mean by independent then I may be able to better explain.

asp.net does not compile to an exe, you obviously have no idea what you're asking.

Could i set out a master page in viewstate...Or Give me any suggession how to fix/static MasterPage....Because i don't want to postback Masterpage while loading child page....
I know whenever child page open its also compile masterpage...I handle menu right for using Session but not maitain Treeview state....
Means if user open tree 3rd level node and page is postback then again tree populated through Database but not maintain its state....not display 3 level node.

As I explained to you yesterday, that's not possible.

This is probably your problem, if you load the data from the database, then the viewstate will be lost, and it will reset itself.
Did you check the infragistic site, or just wait 24 hours to post the same question again, in the hope that the answer would change ?

Everything was working fine until I did something earlier today. And now my code can't see anything in the App_Code folder:
Compiler Error Message: CS0246: The type or namespace name 'alexegg' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
The namespace alexegg is the code in the App_Code folder.
Here's what I've isolated to:
If I'm at my sites root, I have access to App_Code, e.g. www.appcodesucks.com/test.aspx
However, if I arbitrarily move my test page (test.aspx) down one directory to: www.appcodesucks.com/test/test.aspx, it doesn't work! I get the compiliation error.
This is the most annoying thing. Does anybody have any pointers?
