You could call the validator on the TextChanged event handler of your textbox and clear the text if it doesn't fulfill your conditions.

You cannot directly use a MFC dll unless it is a COM dll.
You might have to write a wrapper/managed dll which uses MFC dll. The wrapper dll can then be used in C# using "Add Reference"

I want to be able to extend the label class and add a tabstop functionality so that i can tab into it. This class inherits from the control class which has a tabstop property. How do i override this and provide my label with tabstop

I have a Office 2007 like button. It is based on the label control. Now i want this to behave like a Windows.Forms.Button class. I specify an accellerator key and when i do say ALT+X the click event fires as opposed to transferring focus the next control. Any ideas how this can be done or how i can create an Office 2007 like button without basing the inheriting from the label Class?

I have develop the control by using RichTextBox control in C# windows application. I made it expandable vertically. That it alway fit with contents. but when I past some content from Microsoft word document the the control will not expand properly.But it will work wihth other content from some other editor

So you want two things, to read/edit and write an XML file, and to parse an XML file to create data for a list control. Which bit are you stuck with ?

That's not how it works, sorry. Why do you have this task, if you don't know how to work with XML, or with a listview control ?

First, set the property "AutoSizeMode" to "NotSet" for the column.
Then set the "width" to desired length.

What I want the datagrid to do, is to auto-resize. It does that already when something longer is inserted into the datagrid. But it does not shrink, when something shorter is inserted from the datasource.
I would prefer to let the framework handle the sizing.. I really do not want to program this - since this datagrid is one among many with this problem. It's pretty standard behaviour to resize columns according to their content.
Why is it that the column width does rezise for strings which are longer, but does not resize for strings which are shorter. Sounds to me like I have to reset the width to standard widths each time I instantiate the datasource?

i have a problem to show a picture or gif image b/w request and response (b/w server and the client).
what i tried was image visible false basically...
when button click when it request server i made the image visible true...
but the image is visible only after the response from the server ...
what should i do...???

You can use System.IO.DriveType.Removable to find a removable drive. From there you can access it just like a normal drive.

Hi, I'm attempting to perform a wild card query using C# and microsoft access. The results will be placed in a data grid. Ive tried using "*" ,"#" and "?" symbols but it still wont work
heres my query statement..
daGuests = new OleDbDataAdapter(string.Format("SELECT * FROM Assignee WHERE SN = '*{0}*'", search), conn);
daGuests is my data adapter
search is a string taken from a textbox..
is there something wrong with my code?
im pretty sure theres nothing wrong with my other codes,
the daGuests = new OleDbDataAdapter(string.Format("SELECT * FROM Assignee WHERE SN = '{0}'", search), conn); statement works perfectly.

I don't use Access anymore but the SQL should be closer to:
"SELECT * FROM Assignee WHERE SN LIKE '%{0}%'"
I'm not real sure about the % characters. They might be something else.

I consider that we could use 2 character '*' and '%' based on what I need
In SQL query, we use "Select * frm Assignee WHERE SN like 'Th%'"
In Crystal Report, we use CrystalReport1.DataDefinition.RecordSelectionFomular = "{Assignee.SN} like 'Th*'";
It seem to be a solution or an answer.

Hi,
On microsoft access, we have 2 wild characters, "*" and "?". So the mistake is in using "=" instead of the LIKE.
Try to use sentance as:
daGuests = new OleDbDataAdapter(string.Format("SELECT * FROM Assignee WHERE SN LIKE '*{0}*'", search), conn);
and I hope it will work for you.
