Some companies will look more favourably on those that have passed the exam. Therefore it can be advantageous when seeking employment.

I guess that depends on if you need a job enough to work for such a company. I've always assumed that anyone who looks for exams is clueless.

Or if the company desired to be a Microsoft Partner or Gold Partner. Last time I looked (which I admit was a couple of years ago) a company needed a certain number of certified employees in order to be eligable for partnet status. I'm assuming it is still the case.
It is all marketing really. But the process of studying for an exam can be beneficial if the person studies the subject the exam covers rather than study how to pass the exam. I don't mind admiting that I failed two exams on my way to an MCSD because I didn't study enough on areas that I'd never needed previously (e.g. I've never used COM+ so I had to study pretty hard for that part. Now, all that COM+ stuff has dropped out my head anyway).

There is no property on the DataGirdView to turn this on or off. This is done on each individual column itself giving you the ability to turn on sorting on certain columns and off for others:
Dim dgvCol As DataGridViewColumn
For Each dgvCol In dataGridView1.Columns
dgvCol.SortMode = DataGridViewColumnSortMode.NotSortable

Sir,
I was displaying the exe that are present in my computer.For that I am using the Recursive function.The process is very long operation.
So i found an alternative , which is , I can find out the exe's that are present in my registry.(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE).
Can i list all the exes using the registry.in vb.net 2005.
There is one another problem like there is a yahoo messenger installed on my machine.
There is an exe called YahooMessenger.exe
and
YServer.exe
and
YMSGR_Tray.exe
Out of these only the actual Yahoomessenger needs to be shortlisted.
but my program tells the all.
Is there any way out to sort out this as well.
Please help.

Of course not. Not every exe on your machine exists in the registry, only COM dlls, and files that have been recently used, etc.

Of course. Write a list of files you want to ignore, and write code to ignore them. I see no hard and fast rule, it looks to me like you want to write an exclusion list. On what basis did you want to exclude them ?

Can I programically ascertain , the number of users who has accounts on my operation system , using the VB.net 2005 .
I can find out the user who is currently logged in .
By the following code.
System.Environment.Username
But I want to know the no of users who has account on the operation system.
Please help.

mySub should call Invalidate() to force a paint event. Although, I see that neither of your other blocks of code is a paint event. What are you trying to do ?

Oh, OK. You can use a scale transform to make everything you draw, bigger. There may also be a DPI setting, but I'm not sure what that would achieve.

You'd be surprise how often a question shows up on the boards that can be answered with "Permission Granted". "Great! You want to do something, now what's the problem?" If you would have asked "what are the steps involved in...", that would have clarified where you were stuck - in your case, step 1.
I think you're referring to a Desktop Toolbar, something like this example[^].

There are several approaches for this. Whenever user installs your application, you check user's internet connection. If he/she is connected to internet, you can check date and time according to user's location via a time zone in web and save this values as encrypted information somewhere under your application's directory. Therefore whenever user runs your application, decrypt this values and calculate remaining date or time.
Another approach is to calculate remaining time not date. Therefore, Whenever user installs the application, record time (HH:MM:SS). Accumulate time and convert it to date (if you want to) each time user runs your application.
I hope that helps for a bit.
