I am thinking CR7 is quite an old version. It may be the pdsoledb.dll is a file installed with Windows 98 or 2000 and has been superceded by something else in WinXP. Have you got a Win98 and 2000 PC you can check?

I installed the applicated in boxes with Windows 2000 with SP4 and Windows Server 2003 sp1 and got the same problem. I searched for the file in both machines and the closest I can find is pds.dll.
How/where can I check to find out which is referencing this dll?

IT appears that pdsoledb.dll was replaced with p2soledb.dll in CR v8. Does this file exist on your PC?

I am coding a program which i would like to send strings of words to Internet explorer and i've played around with the sendkeys function built into .net but with no success
i've read a few articles about using keybd_event and user32.dll however I haven't had any success with that either...
i was looking for either some helping words to guide me in the right direction... i can get the sendkeys function to output to programs like notepad, however, it does not work to internet explorer (note: i'm not tryin to type into a textbox in IE)...
as far as the keybd_event i'm not exactly sure how to call to the user32.dll and then use that to output to IE..
i really feel like this should be simpler thatn what i'm making it, but really any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks!

Where are you hoping for the text to go then ? Sounds like the problem is one of focus in IE, the right place doesn't have input focus when you send the key strokes.

I've actually able to get focus to the IE window, but for some reason the Sendkeys function must not actually simulate keystrokes... i'm sending the string to the window in general, the text does not actually show up anywhere... this is why i simply need to simulate the actual keys being pressed

These are two questions posed by my profesor..........how can this be done?
1. The table below gives the 2002 and 2003 sales for the five top restaurant chains.
a. Place the data into an array.
b. Calculate and display the table and the yearly change in sales for each restaurant.

Hi!
In my current windows form. i have a button to generate a powerpoint which uses a standard one slided powerpoint template and the data is fed in and power point is generated. now i want to divide the each row of records returned into two seperate slides (1 slide template is changed in 2) so my code is sumthing like
for each database.rowcount
write to ppt slide for each record
next
but no record is going to 2nd ppt slide for each row how could i use a loop in it so that each row goes into both ppt templates and go on loop
please help

I am trying to simulate the Microsoft Excel "Freeze Panes" function on a Visual Basic .NET form using two ListView controls.
Key_ListView: The control on the left will have one column entitled "Key" and have a numerical value.
Data_ListView: The control on the right will have about 30 columns. The 30 columns can't fit onto the screen at the same time. The user has to use the horizontal scroll bar to see the columns out of view.
When the user scrolls the Data_ListView to the right (horizontal scroll bar) they will not lose "sight" of the key value in the Key_ListView. This is the functionality my users demand.
When the user scrolls the Data_ListView Up and Down (vertical scroll bar) I want the Key_ListView to scroll Up and Down as well. I want the records to stay in sync with each other in a vertical nature.
Using the .EnsureVisible property doesn't set the scroll position; it just makes sure the specific item is "somewhere" in the client window.

You can leave out the windows message part since that is only used to activate the application if it is already running. All you have to do is use the mutex to know if your application is already running.

i m usin data reader in my login form.
wat i want to do is by data reader i can read data from tables
that i created. n be able to open other forms accordingly.
.....the problem is that that when i run the application,,no matter what i type

You are not doing any filtering on your query. Do you only have one row in the database? Have you checked what str = dr.GetString(0) actually returns?
