That's way beyond the VS installer's capabilities (being just for basic setups). I would suggest a stand-alone installer like NSIS for an advanced setup, or Install Creator for something simple.

Hello,
I have my own application with uses msstdfmt.dll via "Data Format" property of Lable control. As i believe we can distribute VB runtime dll MSVBVM60.dll by including in our installable. I want to know whether is it ok to distribute msstdfmt.dll also? Otherwise the machine where my application is going to run needs to have VB installed. But i don't want to install VB. Instead of that if that machine is having this msstdfmt.dll and register then it will work.
Can any one let me any legal articles found about this dll?

Look in the Redist.txt file for VB6, it looks like it is under the REDISTRIBUTABLE CODE - Standard: Section.

I would just windows installer to do the checking. That way you are not overwriting a newer version of the file

Hi. I don't know how to solve that. I have an application divided in two parts with a listview in each one. I can open documents that loads thumbnails in the listviews and the application must permit to move thumbs from one listview to the other.
I can open a document and the images load properly in a listview, that has assigned a imagelist with the thumbs.
The problem is when moving thumbs to the other listview, as already has its own imagelist and if I move image1 from listview1 to the listview2, it takes the appearence of image1 in listview2.
I hope the explanation is clear enough. Any idea to solve that?

Hi,
I have developed an application (i.e. a rss news reader) it reads news from any rss source.
Now the problem is that i have selected its position just over the taskbar and always on TOP ; issue is that my news reader overlaps all the applictions.
I want my RSS News Reader to appear as task bar appears (i.e. all application launched should be above as in the case of windows task bar)

This is not a VB question, to do this you need to use javascript, because that's what runs inside the browser that is showing your HTML.
Dynamic menus are the most common example of this sort of thing you will find on the web.

In a project i need a few comboboxes with the same datasource (collection) When I select a item in one of the comboboxes then all the other comboboxes change to that item.
To fill the comboxes I use
With Cmb1
.DataSource = Nothing
.DisplayMember = "Name"
.ValueMember = "ID"
.DataSource = Collection

With Cmb2
.DataSource = Nothing
.DisplayMember = "Name"

I think the order in which you try to bind your data source to your comboboxes is a bit off, try something like this:

Yeah, if you have this kind of situation, all the controls involved must share the same binding context or currency manager.

Hi,
I would like to know how to debug through a code with running an exe.
e.g. I have a class library in which some functions are defined and a windows application that dynamically (while running) loads and calls the functions from the class library. Currently what I can do is that while running I can debug through the main application, but not in class library.
What i need is the functionality in which I can debug through the class library also?

You can use the 'attach to process' option in the debug menu to debug a running program.
