If you reset the location in the locationchanged event then you can see the form is moving to new position and then resetting to old position. But ideally form should not move at all at first instance. This could be obtained by trapping the windows message for form move. Try following code and it will not allow the form to move at first instance. However pls test the things after adding this piece of code..

I have put 3 gif file in a ImageList.I want to place the
picture from ImageList and put over the picturebox.
I can place the picture and display
the picture is ok.But In the ImageList all are Animated
file that file is not animated in the picture box.the probelm
is only taking the picture from the ImageList.Anybody help me.

This is my first time posting to something like this so bare with me.
I am using Visual Studio 2005 and C#. I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find a way to do what I want. The goal is to be able to access a GIF file's color table. I'm trying to reduce the number of colors in that image and the best way to do that I am assuming is by accessing the color table and taking the top X number of colors and applying that to the image. I have the applying part working, but the problem is getting those colors to begin with. Currently I am going through the entire image(which is required for my purposes to be 2400 px by 2400 px) and finding the color of other pixel on every other line. This takes a little time and isn't quite as accurate as I would like.

Hello,
For that you should send http get to that perticular URL and check the timmings for the http reponse from that perticulatr URL.From that you can actually retrieve the information you want.for code you have to do implement for your self , or find some similar kind of tools from the web

Hi all,
I have been working on an application that records audio off of a soundcard. I use the winnm.dll to give my application this functionality.
The problem I am encountering is when I call WaveInOpen, it is giving me an error 4, meaning MMSYSERR_ALLOCATED. I cannot find any rhyme or reason why I am receiving this error message.
I am not doing any TAPI or modem functionality, just using functionality that I discovered on the internet for recording of sound from the soundcard. The WaveInOpen call is a standard call.
One rather funky situation that I have encountered is on the lower end soundcards, I am not receiving this error. On higher-end cards ($300+), I am receiving this error.
I am running XP, written in C# with VS2003.
Any suggestions?

1. easy way to get its transpose? (note: it's the datagrid i would like to get the transpose of not the datatable which is easy to do)
2. suggestions how to do the following:
the form that contains my datagrid is not wide enough to display all of the columns. i would like to be able to "freeze" a column (specifically the first one that contains the identifier for the row) so that when i scroll horizontally, the frozen column will not scroll out of view.

Hello,
I have a Parent form and a Child form. My Child Window collects some information from the user and sends them back to the Parent Window.
There are button options of "Cancle" and "Connect" on my child form. On my Parent Form I need to know what was pressed on the child form.
How can I have a button handler which monitors the events on the child form regarding the button press (Cancle or Connect) on the child form.

Use a delegate to send an event to the parent form, or if the button closes the form, use the DialogResult property to tell you what was pressed.

I am trying to display then data that is captured in months to be shown as years. For example if someone have been with us for 18 months, I want to display it as 1.5 years. I have attempted to do so by writing the code below but to no avail. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

If you want to return a fraction, return a float.
float years = months/12.0F;

This may sound ignorant but what's the difference between Decimal and float? The couple of Apps I wrote in C++ I never heard of decimal. I guess this new with .Net. Also why the "F" after the number for float? .Net suck...........but I guess I have to adapt.

Hi,
If its 18 months you will show as 1.5 years. What if its 16 months or 15 months. How will that be displayed. This is for my information, so that I can work on it

If its 15 months then it should display 1.25 and if its 16 months then should display 1.3 (not the on decimal place because in reality it 1.3333). I think if we take the radical vairable and multiply it by .83333 then round it off to on or two decimal place that should work.
