Hi All,
Is there a way to display a form kinda frameless (without the blue bar going across the top and sides making is look like a new window and saying form2 on it)

Yes, set the FormBorder property ( from memory ) to none ( again, from memory ). It's along those lines.

You would have to create a registry value in the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run key. See here for more information.

Or you can copy/move your program to the startup folder and it will start up as soon as you logon.
To access this folder you press start>> then
Programs>>Then startup>> then right click select open or explore.
With the registry keys you can use:
Local machine(Which starts the program for all users)
hklm/software/microsft/windows/run
Current user(Which starts the program for only the currently logged on user)
hkcu/software/microsoft/windows/run

I can see that I can use this to create a new tab page
But how can I make the Tab Page public?
TabControl1.Controls.Add(New TabPage("New Tab")))

You would do it like this:
Declare the TabPage: Public ATab As New TabPage.
Then create the new tab: Me.TabControl1.Controls.Add(ATab).

You can't.
Objects aren't private or public, as you can never access an object directly. You only access objects using references.
You can declare a public variable that is a reference to a Tab Page, and assign it the Tab Page that you create.

Hi All,
I want WMP to set my timers off, everytime the 'play' button is clicked. However I cannot seem to find what the name of the intergrated 'play' function is.
for e.g.
Private Sub AxWindowsMediaPlayer1_Enter(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.Enter
If numberofcalls = 0 Then
Timer1.Enabled = True
End If
If numberofcalls = 1 Then
Timer2.Enabled = True
......etc
In this code timer1 is enabled when play is pressed right at the beggining, but when play is pressed again, timer2 doesnt seem to work (be enabled).

WMP has an event for the change of status, this can tell you when you're playing.

I have been struggling to find information on how to achieve the following.
My small app creates a folder on the file system. I then want to run an instance of Windows Explorer and show the folder. I want to do this in a way so that Explorer will keep running even after my app is terminated.
I assume this is achievable and apologise if it is trivial.

Nothing is trivial, until you know how to do it 
Process.Start("c:\") should, I believe, open explorer at the c drive.
I think it's in System.Threading.

i am using VB.net for the first time on a data project. I have used the built in functions to put data in a DataGrid. Now what I need to know how to do is when user types in a text box use that to narrow results.

how can write a function to let the user : specifies which subfolders to delete
i mean :if the user wants to delete everything with the name before:2007-2-20
algorithm: after choosing a date from the calendar ,delete all the subfolders where their name are inferior from the chosen date

How do you mean 'select the value'. You want to search for a value ?
You want to update and delete what ? The grid, or the data source ?

http://www.codeproject.com/cs/database/gridex.asp[^] looks helpful. You could either use the control, or look through the code to see how it works.
Depending on your datasource, you may be able to run SQL on the source, or you can iterate over the Rows collection to find the values you need.
