Never really understood why so many C++ers are so hostile to VB. And I have a C++ background myself. Sure it has deficiencies but it was adequate enough for what it did. C++ has deficiencies too.

I'm using VB .NET now and in fact I'm more irritated by IDE deficiencies compared to C# than language features as such.

Are you talking about use of CInt etc? These are in fact identical to Convert.To... despite being in the Microsoft.VisualBasic namespace.
