when i enter the integer value in the textbox and click the button.i should get the number of textboxes that i entered in the textbox.
1)Initially i called a function called loadtextboxes, as follows :
Sub loadtextboxes(ByVal val As Integer)
For Each tb In val
TextBox(tb = New TextBox())
tb.ID = i
Next
End Sub
i don't know how we can produce textboxes dynamically by clicking the button.
This is not a homework.
It's for automating the project.So please kindly help me

Oh, I see.
The Textboxes can be added to the controls collection on the page, but if you want to position them, you need some sort of PlaceHolder ( or similar control ) to contain them. Then you can just create textboxes with new, set their properties, and add them as child controls, to the Controls collection of the Placeholder.
Inserting them in a table, or adding some CSS would help you to lay them out nicely.
The other trick is, they need to be added to the page very early in the life cycle, if you want viewstate from those controls.
Sorry, I thought you wanted the page to report back the number, which would obvioulsy be a homework assignment

for your valuable suggestion.I thought of placing them in a table and then...
now you suggested me placeholder.and the other thought is we can declare a textbox and add the code even for the design part as follows:
tb(i) = New TextBox()
tb(i).ID = "Tirumal" & i
tb(i).Width = Unit.Pixel(50)
tb(i).BorderWidth = Unit.Pixel(50)
Me.Controls.Add(tb(i))
ok.Anyway i will use the placeholder.

You need to pass the Session object through to the middle tier, if you have no choice but to do that. Passing the value down makes more sense.

I am working with some National Wetlands Inventory data that has lots of codes specifying the details of that region. Since the codes are so complex there is an online source that will let you enter a code and then return what it means. However, there are hundreds of code combos so I want to be able to put a list together in excel or access and have a program go through the list and update the worksheet or table with the info from the website.
The website however does not pass the code in the address so I don't thinks it's a simple paste in the code to the address situation. I need to have the program enter the code in the correct textbox, submit the form, and then parse the results (returned in an html table).
Here's the catch I have done some vb, vba, and website development but I have never done something like this. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this? Or, sample code of a similar project?
I know that some websites really HATE this, but I am checking with the host before starting the project. I don't foresee any problems though as they put this together so that people could get this information.

I use a pannel control to contain my owner controls ,
but the problem is when the user view more than control , then panel controls count is increase by nature ,
then when the user hit the link of the control more than one , i succeded to prenvent him from viewing the control again but i want that control bring to the front of all other , and how can i get certain control from all controls which contains on Panel contol

You can access the controls by name, or by index, on the Controls collection.

i can't access the control on the controls collectoin by name
by index is allowed but the index is changed and i can't get the control new index , by name will be so easy but how ?????????????????????

To access by name, just use the name, you don't need the controls collection.

Hey hlortie,
To answer your question, you want to access the .Visible property of the DataGridView.Columns("ColumnName") object. So if your dataGridView is called "dgvProducts", and your column is called "Amount", you could effectively hide it by writing the following:
dgvProducts.Columns("Amount").Visible = False

I've found the way to do it:
'Assign style to datagrid
tStyle.MappingName = datagrid.DataMember
datagrid.TableStyles.Add(tStyle)
'Hide column
datagrid.TableStyles("Table_name").GridColumnStyles("column_name").Width = 0

The way I told you will work as well, and is actually the way you're supposed to do it. Your way allows people the option to widen the width, and see the information you were hiding.
May I suggest you hide the column if you sincerely want to hide it. Setting the width to 0 is not hiding it.

Is there some way that I can detect if a user starts up an application? I'd like to build a monitoring tool that is always running in the background and detects when specific applications are started so that I can log the usage of the applications.

You can build a windows service that starts a timer which on each tick will check the process list, and log whatever u want to log.
A probably better way to do it is through WMI, you will need to create a callback on WMI when a process starts, that way whenever a process starts, WMI will execute the registered callback.

The database is not aware of your text fields. You have to put the value from the text field in the query, not the name of the text field.

There are 3 different table involved here. The table A1 will return many rows since it is the purchase order line items table. the other will return one for each of the rows in A1.
I don't understand your reply. This is a select command were the data in txtBNox1.text is the only field that has enterable data in.

The database is not aware of your function either.
You have placed the function call and the reference to the text box inside the string, that means that it's not code, it's just a part of the string. The string will be sent just as it is to the database, and the database couldn't do anything with it even if it did understand what it was, as it doesn't have access to either your function or your text box.
