I have a app with a listview on a form set to detailsview. This works great but now I would like to add small image icons.
In the listview controle is a "smallimagelist" property that is set to none and I can not change that...?
Below is the code I use to populate the listview on load....
How can I modify my code to allow small icon view mode?

Hi Japel,
You don't need to modify your code. Just add an imagelist from the toolbox to your form and add some images to it. Click on your listview and set the property 'SmallImageList' to the imagelist you've just added.
However, if you want to use different images for different items in your listview, I suggest that you modify your code so that it uses ListviewItems.

Hi all,
We all know how to automatically signout the user and direct him to the login page if he is inactive for say 20 minutes in ASP.NET, using session timeout.
How to do the same thing in windows forms application?
If anyone can give me a hint or sample code,it will be highly appreciated..

By writing your own timeout code. The feature exists in ASP.NET because a user could be taking valuable server resources that need to be kept between page requests. There is no such need on a windows forms application because everything is local to the machine it is being used from. Also, if a user needs to be logged in for a windows forms application then Windows Authentication is used and the authentication information is picked up from the account the user logged in as to Windows.

Ahum... I confess... that might be a programing question ... 
A friend of mine has little kid. Big enough to use the computer.
He created a kid user with restricted user account for his kid but he would like to remove the confusing start menu, etc.... with a simple, home made, kiosk style, fullscreen GUI interface.
Which could just launch a bunch of game and logout/shutdown.
And he ask how to do that.
But I don't know!
It's why.. ahum.. I'm asking you, how to wirte a "kiosk style, fullscreen GUI" which lauch at the start of the session and prevent the WINDOWS, WINDOWS+E, WINDOWS+M and ALT+TAB keys to work, or that sort of things...
Any tip?

Yep, I sure should. I doubt I will sleep tonight, I just can't manage it. I suspect the sleeping pills have already had an effect, stopping me from sleeping without them. I can't imagine why else it is that I cannot sleep.

We do that in one of our products...It is fairly simple to lock down the desktop so that there aren't any ICONS visible on the desktop, nothing displayed in the start menu, and we use the W2K policy editor to restrict access to everything except our application (which is automatically run upon login using the startup folder) for a specific user.
If it is just specific games you want to allow, you could update the desktop to just have the specific programs you want the user to access and then restrict access to everything else.

When a student checks a book out, you obviously have to track which book they have checked out. Now, when a student tries to check a book out, you have to check to see if they have one checked out first. If not, they can check a book out, else, they can't.

Hi, I have a VB6 app which uses late binding to create an object of a DLL file. I want to be able to delete and replace this DLL file at any time.
How do I dispose of this object in VB6 in such a way that I can delete the DLL file?

If you're using this .DLL through Declare statements, you can't unload it. The .DLL is loaded into your process' addess space on startup and stays there, with it's file held open until after your application quits.

This is how I declare it. Is there no way to unload this from the memory?

Before running this code the DLL can be replaced easily.
Even when the object is out of scope I can't delete the DLL.

Yep. You can't delete it until AFTER you're application terminates. Even if you're no longer using any objects in the .DLL. There is no way to unlock the .DLL so long as your code continues to run.
