I am using an imagefield in grid view.
<asp:imagefield datafield="photo" headertext="Picture">
In some rows the image is null . I want to specefy this default image (no photo) for these rows.
How to do it

hi everybdy
i m binding the different dropdownlist in formview for edit and add new records. the datasource is differnt for formview and dropdownlist. when i am addding the new records its work properly. whilei am trying to edit the record an error occur for defferent dropdownlist like dropdownlistArea has selectedvalue which is invalid but it does not exist in the items.
pls tell whats problemn is there?

Hello,
I tried but it didn't work,it is showing error message "Label1 is undifined". i am writing javascript code in part of my .aspx page, i also tried in and calling onclick event of the checkbox onclick="checkState()" ,The code is as below;

Put label1 in double quotes.
something like this:
var chk1 = document.getElementById("Label1");

Slightly OT, but I tend to avoid double quotes in javascript - use a single quote, and it makes things ALOT simpler if you have to build some JS on the server side (for RegisterStartupScript etc)...I find that once in the habbit of using single quotes, it really simplifies adding escape chars etc....

Hi! All,
I have a problem when I used session variable to keep the value of HttpPostedFile. Why i have to use session variable becuase of page sometime is postback (refresh page) then I have to declar one session variable to set the value. But the limit of session variable is can't maintain the values of object HttpPostedFile the length more than 10000 bytes. Then I have to find the another global variable to maintain the values when the page is postback.
is there somebody know this?

I hav to display the data on grid
display is as :
col1 col2 col3 col4
sum txt in these col all r merge
1 sum data all 3 col merge
1 2 col merge
1 A
2 B
3 C
4 X=A+B+C
5 Y=A+B+C+X
in sum cases B or C or A are not in means order are A,C,X, but it display 1,3,4. i want to display it as 1,2,3. problem is that these 12345 are key col in table. how i will display according to my requirement suggest

But my problum is this is only for 1 table (1 table retrive)
If i have more than 1 table and i want to save the data in same file (1 Excel File) only
Means no. of Tables will retrive but i want to save in only one excel File

hi,
you certainly have idea about joining. You can join as many tables you want through join.so make an exact SQL query to have the results from multiple tables.
