Yes, I'm working in Microsoft Visual C++ .NET version 2003 Standard.
That will be the problem then, but can you tell me what is the correct way to use a/the InDesign com object, because I'm completely lost.

this doesn't mean in which language you code (i leave in france, but could be speaking english, german or chinese).
Cedric's question is : "do you program in Native C++, Managed C++, C#, VB.NET..." ?

Sorry, I don't know what the diference is between those languages , I thought that when I use MicroSoft's visual C++ that I was using c++, with their compiler.
How can I see what I'm using.
What I did to create the project, was:
Choose new project from the file menu, and choose: visual c++ project/.net/ ASP.NET web service.
So, my question still is what do I need to do, to get a webservice that allows me to call runscrip in InDesign.

yes, that is an obvious thought. unfortunately, MS Visual C++ .NET 2003 (and later) compiler understands 2 different kind of C++ :
Native (pure console, Win32, MFC/ATL/WTL projects)
Managed (the one compiled for .net framework).
it seems that you created a managed C++ project, so you code in Managed C++ (also called C++/CLI in newer version of the language).
unfortunately, this is not the right forum to ask such a question (most people here don't know MC++), so, i suggest you to ask it here[^] to get better answers

i am working with VS2005, MFC application
the dialog resource editor works in Dialog Units.
Is there a way to tell the resource editor to work in pixels rather that DLU?

DLUs are DLUs no matter what machine you are on. Pixels, on the other hand, are specific to the machine. For example, if control A and control B are 15 pixels apart on your machine, they most likely will not be 15 pixels apart on my machine (different font, resolution, size). However, if those two controls are 15 DLUs apart on your machine, they will also be 15 DLUs apart on my machine. Make sense?

Why? DLUs are a great idea, as they are based on the size of the dialog font - then if the font size changes, then all the controls would be resized/repositioned accordingly. Not all versions of Windows will be using the same font as you, so this is quite important.

I have one exe file,when the first exe is running,it should ask one question as "Do u want to run two.exe",if i choose yes then the two.exe sholud run and also the one.exe also should run with out any interuption.

Hi, i have one exe, once i entered in to that i have to select to run another exe.
In detail,After running A.exe i have the dialog box that states that"do u want to run b.exe" if yes means it should run b.exe.
At the same time the a.exe also should run.

I've downloaded some icons available from the internet. These are 32x32 icons while i need 16x16 icons or vice versa. Sometimes i need to convert these icons to bitmaps of my desired size and colors and sometimes i need to convert bitmaps to icons.
Can you please suggest me some good tool(s) fot these kind of job. I know that google is my friend and there are many tools available, but i need the suggestion of CPians in this regard.

hi,
I want to create a video player in vc++.It should play jpeg files continously(frame by frame).so that it will look like a movie.
While playing jpeg files,i want to store each jpeg file in a new folder.
Please give me examples or any links related to this.
