I would like first to thank everybody here contributed in solving C3 developers' programmers.
Second.
I need to access the voice directly fom microfone and encode it . This captured voice i will transmit to over the network any help on that.
I saw full -duplex audio player in C# by ianier but really his code is complicated somewhat . I need more simple steps using the Wavein/WaveOut Api(s) or even using directSound.

First off, i am not sure this is the right forum, but i plan to program in this in c#, so here goes!
I am wanting to create a small PPC app to control windows media player, mainly volume, pause/play, previous, next and mute buttons. There are apps out there which run windows media player 'servers' with wmp controls embedded into the server, but that's not what i need.
Basically i am uber lazy, i want to be able to stop the music b4 i go to bed, or stop a movie if i have been watching it from my bed. Ultimately i would also like to be able to put my laptop in suspend mode also, but thats not as difficult 
Anyhow, i have searched around a bit to no avail and was wondering if anyone else has had and similar ideas, and if they had any luck controlling wmp. (i assume it would be a plugin... but again, dont know if its even possible!)

Hello,
I am currently considering migrating various projects from 1.1 to 2.0 but before doing this I would like to see a list of all changes, enhancements, bug fixes, new bugs etc etc that are in 2.0. Looking through MSDN and other Microsoft sites I can seem to find anything that covers it all.
Does anybody know if such a list exists?

I thought they (Microsoft) renamed WPF back to DirectX10 and WinFX respectively, or am I confusing something here?
Maybe it was WGF = DirectX10 and WPF = WinFX or something like that...

Thanks - I'd actually downloaded a prior versoin of this ( i.e. a different build number ). It looks to me like they don't havE IDE support for the full version yet, then. I'll have to do it all by hand, if at all.

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having with an app that reads in an Excel spreadsheet. For each worksheet in the spreadsheet I want to create a DataTable that has the same name as the Excel worksheet. My code currently looks like this:

This doesn't work as it thinks I'm trying to reassign an existing object, rather than create a new object with the name of an existing object's property.
Can anyone explain how I can create as many datatables as exists in the spreadsheet file I open, and programmatically give each DataTable the same name as the worksheet from the spreadsheet?
Any assistance would be gratefully recieved!

You can't. There are no dynamic filenames in C#.
Put the datatables in a collection, like a HashTable.

Guffa, thanks for your response. I'm new to C# and I've not used HashTables before, could I just clarify how this would work in my example?
From looking at what I can find on HashTables, would my code look like this?

Yeah, that would work unless the worksheets have the same names - Hashtables do not allow duplicate keys. But you might also use a simple List<Worksheet>

Question people.
I can easily update my database from my dataset using the oledbadapter.Update method perfectly fine.
But this only is good for select,add, delete, and modify commands on records in the dataset (database)
What i need to do is update the database from my dataset when adding new columns to the dataset.
When i use the oledbadapter's Update method it does not reflect the changes in my access database the newly created columns in the dataset.
Can someone let me know what to do

You could set focus to the desktop window in your form's handler for the "focus received" event.

I'm in a computer programming class at the college I'm attending and I'm having a very difficult time with the program we were assigned. The assignment is this:
Ask the user to enter a single interger. If it is 0 or less display the number 1 as a result. Otherwise, display the result of multiplying all the numbers between 1 and the number the user entered. (Yes, the factorial of the number) If the user enters 5 then the answer to display is 120. That is the result of 1*2*3*4*5. You need to use a "for" loop
If anyone can help me with this, please post code for me. I've struggled with this since last Tuesday and it is due this coming Tuesday. Thanks.

No way. That's not how this works. YOU write the code! We help you with YOUR code, not ours. If we justposted the code for you, you wouldn't learn anything and you'd be screwed over even more on the next assignment.

I recommend first creating a flowchart[^] of actions (eg: "ask user for number", "check if it's zero or less", etc.) that describes the assignment's logic. Then, translate each item in the flowchart to a programming language of your choice (C, C#, etc.).
For example, the "ask user for number" item would translate (in C) to:
printf ("Please enter an integer: ");
The "check if it's zero or less" item would translate (again, in C) to:
if (number <= 0) {
}
Feel free to ask questions if you have problems with a specific part of your program. But be sure to try doing the assignment yourself before asking a question. Soliciting a working program from someone else is nothing but a disservice to yourself. And we don't want to do that - we want you to learn (and enjoy!) programming.

hi everyone, happy chinese new year
I wonder how do I change the font size of the text in the tabs in a tabcontrol. I tried changing the tab font, it changes all the fonts in the tabpage also.
Also, is there anyway to increase the size of the arrow buttons when there are too many tabs? I want it LARGe and very visible
