I have already profiled my code using .Net Memory profiler, Ants profiler and also CLR profiler
and changed my code according to the results of above profilers.
Is there something another way by which i can come to know which objects are in memory and not getting disposed

The CLR Profiler will tell you, if you know how to read it.

im using a js function to dynamically fill a dropdown.
im using document.getElementById('dd') for getting the id of the select box.
first it was working properly and now not.
document.getElementById('dd') retuning a null and previosly it was returning a object. so im not getting the binding.
what could be the problem

Have you checked the source of the page? What id does the dropdown get?
If you moved the dropdown inside a container, the id can change.

the id for the select tag is 'dd' only ...

Well, if the id in the tag is correct, then there has to be something else in your code that causes the problem.
Do you have any other element with the same id?

If you put the dropdown in a user control, for an example, with the id "froglegs", the dropdown would get the id "froglegs_dd". If you put the dropdown in a repeater, each dropdown created would get a unique id, like "Ctrl_42".

thanx for the explanation. but im using the select tag on the same page.

i tried keeping some unique name. but null is wat it returns if check tat wit a alert.
but my previous similar coding in the source gear is workin perfectly

Test by giving the element a different id, just to see if that makes the javascript work.
Also check for other errors in the page source. For an example, if the element is placed outside the form, it might be ignored by the browser.

i am inserting data in access database. i actually am inserting data in access DB in following manner
INSERT INTO SPECIALOFFER (Description,ImageS) VALUES ('" + this.txtdesc.Text + " ','" + filename + "')"
but the problem i am facing here is that the value for txtdesc.text is as follows
textdesc.text="\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRaheel Iqbal\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t \r\n"
thisi s inserting data in DB but the field for description is not taking any string its showing empty value..
datatype for description is memory.
can anybody please help me to solve this problem

I assume that you mean the data type Memo, the text type that can hold more than 255 characters.
Are you really sure that the value is empty? As I can se, the string starts with a line break, that means that you have to heighten the rows in Access to see the other lines in the field.

Hi all, i have a question, it's possible to fill mydataset with all the table of my database without make a specifically query for all the tables?
I don't know if is possible but i want to do the next things:
a)fill a dataset with all the tables of my database;
b)with the dataset check if i have to update some fields, or adding tables into mydataset;
c)update all the database with my alteration;

I have written an application that uses pop-up forms to view data etc.
Everything works perfectly well until you try and close the pop-up. I am using the this.close() function and instead of closing the pop-up window leaving you viewing the main window it closes the whole application.
I then reverted to using the this.hide() mehtod and while it works if i try to go back to the hidden window (ie try to re-open the form with different data) it more often than not crashes
if anyone has any ideas then that would be appreciated!

How are you creating the pop-up windows?
Are you doing something like this:
<br />
PopupForm popup = new PopupForm();<br />
popup.Show();<br />
or this:
<br />
PopupForm popup = new PopupForm();<br />
DialogResult dr = popup.ShowDialog();<br />
...<br />
And when you close the popups are you doing this:
class PopupForm {
private void CloseButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e){
this.Close();
}
}
or this:
<br />
PopupForm popup = new PopupForm();<br />
DialogResult dr = popup.ShowDialog();<br />
...<br />
popup.Close();<br />
If by mistake you are calling this.Close from the parent window, it will close the parent and all of the sub-windows.

I am using the code
new popupformname(data being passed).show()
to open the form, then using
private void btnClose_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
this.Close();<br />
}
on the pop-up form to close it.

That's strange. Everything should be working.
First try assigning the instance of the form to a variable:
<br />
popupformname form = new popupformname(data being passed);<br />
form.Show();<br />
If this doesn't work, can you post all of the code you are using for the parent form and the pop-up form?

Hi! I'm a newbie and I've wondered how JTable can be implemented in C#. Now I found out that there is an existing class in C# called DataGrid but it can only be used if there is data bound to it from the database. What if I just wanted to generate a number of (empty) cells (horizontally and vertically)? I saw some existing codes in this site but most of them are hard to understand, Is there any other simple way of doing it?

That's not true. You can just create a new DataTable, add columns to it, fill it with data and then bind it to the grid. You won't need a database to do so.
Something like:
DataTable dt = new DataTable();
dt.Columns.Add("Col1", typeof(string));
dt.Columns.Add("Col2", typeof(double));
dt.Rows.Add(new object[] { "Row1", 3.5 });
dt.Rows.Add(new object[] { "Row2", 2.1 });
dt.Rows.Add(new object[] { "Row3", 2341.3646 });
myDataGrid.DataSource = dt;

Hello All,
Actually I want to port a windows application written in C# to a user control so that i can embed that control in a web browser and be facilitated from all its feature without installing it.(Only the .Net framework is required).
Its working fine but gives me exception when i go beyond the scope of the browser for example i want to save a file in C:\ drive and do some registry operations.
It gives me System.Security.Permissions.FileIoPermission and etc.
Please tell me how to set all the permissions for this control so that i can have full control over the machine on which this control is running in a web browser.

Anyone know if it is possible to montior the stop, pause and play button controls on the WMP ? I need to know when the user clicks the stop button. I cannot just rely on the PlayStateChange event either, since the player will enter the WMPPlayState.wmppsStopped state at the end of a song. Thanks for any help you may have....

The states that it goes through are different, I think, but you can also check the position within the track, to see if it stopped at the end.

I have to design a system to listen radio & do some DSP task in radio(on Analog to Digital converted) signals.
This task is CTCSS detection/genaration,DTMF detection/genaration, RF Audio detection & also other filtering processing with making of filter graph.
All are done with C#.Net.
