Hi
I having an application which is using the AXWebBrowser component, It is working fine in my machine (server). While i am trying to access the same page from the remote machine it dosent say any error but it displays nothing, can any one guide me what's the problem is.

Hello 
I have two datasets one is filled from database (dataset1) and another is filled from the file (dataset2). I want to compare rows in those datasets and do this:
1. if row is present in dataset2 then insert it into dataset1
2. if row is present in both (dataset2 and dataset1) then update dataset1
how can I do this easily? is there function for comparing two datasets which returns some kind of diff dataset?

I have to code a program so that I after entered an URL of the web-service, if it's correct, methods that that web-service supplies will appear with parameters they require, and then I can invoke a method.
I remember that there is an article focus on my problem but I can not find it.
Anyone help me with that!?

All you have to do is visit the URL of the webservice (ie localhost/WebServices/WebService.asmx) and you'll see a list of available methods for that web service. Then if you follow a link to one of the methods, you'll see a description of the web service.

hi,
i'm using Component One TrueDBGrid in my form.
one of the columns is the "Amount" field. ItShould allow users to enter only integers or float type. But if he attempts to enter characters, error provider should be shown..this will be done in RowColChange event of the grid...so he shuld not be able to enter any characters or special characters..
Please tell me how i'll do this...i tried using the EditMask property of the grid i.e.
tdbgridOnewayReturn.Splits[0].DisplayColumn[3].DataColumn.EditMask = "0000000.00";
but this doesn't take decimal..if i enter 0000332.99, then it saves as 3329900..which is not correct.
But if i use NumberFormat property of the grid :
tdbgridOnewayReturn.Splits[0].DisplayColumns[3].DataColumn.NumberFormat = "Fixed";
then,the user can also enter characters..which is not correct..
please do tell me how i'll resolve this problem....

Hello,
I have just started to use C#, I have to make a User Preferences Dialog box like the 'Options' dialog in the VS.NET IDE, I have been searching online but (may be I am using wrong keywords for it) have not found any tutorials...
second problem is that I have a form that has two parts, 1. Main Part, 2. Sub Part, and I want the sub-part to appear only if the check box 'Show Sub Part' is checked, otherwise it should remain hidden...
Any help would be much appreciated (I'd be grateful if it's a link to some tutorial that deals with something like this)

Those sort of UI components do not exist in VS, they are custom written. So, you'll need to find a component that does it, not a tutorial showing you how to do it.

Put a control on the edge of the area you want to hide, and use the Width property of your form to show/hide it based on the position of this control. A panel or something, maybe a label with no text ? It's a place holder. Then you need to also make your form a fixed size so the user does not maximise it.

You can create child forms and show them as modeless dialogs, and then you can set their visible propertly.

Yes, a tree on the right and a lot of panels that you show and hide would work just fine. I'd just be inclined to wrap that in a control, and then create the panels as user controls, if it was me.

I want to save a graphic that was created in a c# program that I wrote to an ico. I tried:
pictureBox1.Image.Save(sfd.FileName,ImageFormat.Icon);
but it saved a file that was an invalid ico file. Can anybody help me out?

ok.. i have a function and it looks like this..

Don't enclose the table name in single quotes.
Better yet, use parameters:

Since you are just copying one colum value to a listbox, theis would be much more effieciently done with an SqlDataReader, and the select commnd should only ask for the one column:

SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(str,myConn);<br />

What is the error? What are you passing in for tablename? Does the table exist?

Are you sure your Sql Server is running? "system error' sounds rather bad, like something fundamental is wrong. Can you open the table in Enterprise Manager?
I don't understnd your comment about not being able to move the executereader() call into the try block --- are you saying that

Also, I'm more accustomed to seeing "Initial Catalog=halkdanis;" in an Sql Server connection string, rather than "database=" "database" might work, but then again it might not..

my mssql server and everything seems fine, this is just a function of the system, i can add, delete, update records on my program right now and there is no problem, what i wanted to do is, i'm using this code 5 times in the program but each time i have to specify the tablename , so i had to use 5 functions only the tablenames are different. and instead of doing like that i wanted to use only one function and take the tablename as a string so i could use it..
try

while(reader.Read())
...
when i do like this , it gives error like where the heck is the reader but

no errors but when i wanted to use the function it gives sql error and points

Try it more youre original way. Instaed of a parameter, build up the SQL string like this:
string str = "select [username] from [" + tablename + "]";
leave the rest of the code the same (just remove the add parameters part).
the square brackets around username are important, since "username" is a keyword. Your original version had single quotes around tablename, which was definitely a problem. The square brackets should work.
To fix the compile error with the reader inside the try block,
SqlDatareader reader = null;<br />
try<br />
{<br />
reader = cmd.ExeuteReader();<br />
...

I want to build a C# application with integrated acrobat reader. I will have a list of the left hand side which is a list of links of pdf files I have on my computer and when I click the required pdf file link on left, pdf file must display on the right hand side of the application inside a pdf reader. I am currently having 100 pdf files for my literature review ( I am a PHD student  ) and it has reached a state where its unmanagable.
I am a pretty OKAy coder in C#. But I simply don't know how to go about this.
Any help will be highly aprreciated.
