I got that remark before. I'll have to think about that for a while.
The truth is that I don't like websites of today either: too much of nothingness for the most parts, but of course the website is not for me...
I coded this by hand, so if you have recommendations for (simple) tools that can make that flashier in a snap, let me know. (I heard that Wordpress is a mess, I see a lot of commercials for wix, ...)

I'm talking about my big presentation of course 
About 40 people showed up for the food and drinks and found themselves trapped when my presentation started 
I talked for about 2 x 45 minutes (more or less perfectly timed) about Azure, DevOps, containers, Functions, and Cosmos DB.
The demos went well, save for a few longer-than-usual loading times in Azure.
People asked questions and I was able to answer them.
And thanks to modern medicine I had no nerves whatsoever (people were even amazed I looked to relaxed  ).
People told me they liked it and they learned from it.
So I'm definitely doing this again

Then rely on the experience to reduces nerves... not pharma. Dependencies can be damned fast.

My first presentation at a new company was supposed to be for 4-5 people. I printed off eight copies of the hand-out, just in case a couple of extras showed up. I opened the door to see a total of 40+ people eagerly awaiting my presentation! It was in a large conference room but there was still standing room only!
I sent my boss off to find a photocopier. This was before the internet, we still did this kind of thing on paper.
It went well - I was asked to do it again as many people couldn't make the first one. Another 40+ attendees for that time but at least I had enough copies of the hand-out.
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.
