Many years ago I learned a lovely phrase in German ... "Sie koennen bleiben wo der Pfeffer waechst" (I haven't worked out umlauts ... apologies)
"You may live where the pepper grows" ... an awfully polite euphemism for "Go to H**l".
Having looked at some spammers today I've been thinking "Serdecznie powitamy cały polski spam post w szczególnie ciepłym miejscu" ... a sort of spoof equivalent simply because I've learned the words "Serdecznie powitamy" ... "We warmly welcome you" (according to Google Translate) only from the spammers on this site. With apologies to my Polish friends I think that means "We warmly welcome the whole Polish spam post in a particularly warm place"
So please share with me equally polite ways of telling people to **** *** whilst being incredibly polite ...

Just to help you: umlauts (and other accents) are easy. Hold down ALT and use the numeric keyboard:

No need for a cheat sheet.
Alt + NumPad "0" + NumPad Keys -> Character from the CP1252 (Windows-1252) Set
Alt + NumPad Keys -> Character from your local DOS Character Set (CP437 for US, CP850 for Western European, etc.)
If you enter a decimal value requiring more than 8 bits it just takes the last 8.
So for "æ" I can just type "Alt + 454545" without having to remember it's character 145 in the CP850, or 230 in CP1252

I can just type the ~ or ^ or ' or ` or " key once (nothing happens) and then the key I want to apply it to.
So " + o = ö, ` + a = à, ~ + n = ñ, etc.
For some reason I don't have that at work and it's driving me nuts.
It's some keyboard setting, but I can never figure out which one.
When I mess it up I get Dutch layout, but we Dutch use American qwerty keyboards and all of a sudden all keys become something else.
So I wonder why is that Dutch layout if the Dutch don't use it...
Anyway, be thankful you're not working with Chinese[^]

I think it's in Control panel, "Clock, Language and Region", "Language", "Options" to set an input method - but I'm not sure.

I get two of each symbol at once when I press twice.
So I usually do ""[left arrow] or even "";[left arrow x2]
I even do that when I get these symbols on the first button press.
It's really not a problem

At first I thought the English in the parens was the translation of the German, and still retaining some German from my childhood, I was wondering, how the heck did you get from A to B?
But then the light dawned as I read on.

I was once sat in an early morning meeting at work with the hangover from h**l, completely mystified as to why I couldn't understand what was being said. It was only when my (non-german speaking) colleague gave me a look of "  I'm lost, what are they on about?" that I realised they were speaking in German not English! The meeting went a little easier after that lightbulb moment (but the hangover stayed for the duration)

After allowing the server to install sp2 for sql server 2014, customers started getting script errors when setting filters in ssrs reports. Apparently, this bug was introduced in sp2 and fixed a few releases later. So wte didn't the update get the more current release?
Easily fixed by downloading another half-gig cumulative update and everybody's happy again.
