Sounds like a bad idea to me.

They are asking you to reveal your business information to them. Information that should have nothing to do with them.

What are you going to do if they take that client list and tell those other people that they must drop you?

If your business was based on a smile and a handshake and the other side is no longer satisfied with that then it is time to use a contract.
