Hi,
I am working on an application in which I need to implement Google search for the string given in a textbox. For this I have to call Google API in my application.
If any one have any idea to call Google API using c# please reply me.
Thanks in advance.

If you type something like "Try this", then highlight it before you paste the link, the link text becomes "Try this" rather than the web address - looks prettier, and hides the LMGTFY part from being too obvious!
as in : Try this[^]

If he can't be bothered even googling it himself, why should I be bothered typing any extra unnecessary characters?
(You could also tinyurl-ify it if you really wanted to hide what the link was)

Then you need to revise your searching technique.
It has taken me less than a minute to find this[^], only one amongst thousands of hits.
That page may not be exactly what you are looking for, but by exploring the links from it I am sure that you will find what you need, if you have the perseverance.

I recall it works at times but not always. Perhaps it works in IE but not FF?

Hi,
this is a well-known and discussed "problem". There are many articles discussing how to implement this.
For example this one here:

Have a look.

Hi.
I'm writing a program that reads data from binary file and shows it on the screen. There could be a situation that there are multiple data files if the user enables file size limit. If the file size reaches the user-defined limit a new file is created and the data is saved there and so on. So there could be 0.bin, 1.bin, 2.bin, ... and so on.
Naturally I have to read and show the data in this "multiple data file" case, too.
At the moment I have a solution where I create an array of FileStream objects for each file and when I get an end of file I start to read the next stream in the array. This fast and ugly solution but is there any ready-made components/libraries for this kind of data handling or does anyone have a better solution?
The main idea is to show the data as one to the user through a certain file handling class that provides necessary methods like ReadBytes, Seek, etc.
Any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
-J-

Hi,
well I don't know if there is any kind of ready-made component/library for this case. But I think your solution is not that ugly. But I would suggest to write your own stream-object.
For this you could inherit FileStream or StreamReader etc. Then override the methods ReadByte etc. so that when you hit the last bytes of the file, you can open the next one and go on to read further. The advantage of this approach is that your own stream is reusable and it seems that you are reading from just "one" file instead of many.

Sebastian

Thanks Sebastian. Inheriting FileStream is a very good idea. I just finished an ugly for loop for that purpose but I will put you tip in use.
Cheers.

XStyleFamiliesSupplier xSupplier = (XStyleFamiliesSupplier)_app.XSpreadsheetDocument;
XNameContainer xPageStyleCollection = (XNameContainer)xSupplier.getStyleFamilies().getByName("PageStyles").Value;
XPropertySet xPropertySet = (XPropertySet)xPageStyleCollection.getByName("Default").Value;
xPropertySet.setPropertyValue("LeftMargin", new uno.Any((Int32)1500));
xPropertySet.setPropertyValue("RightMargin", new uno.Any((Int32)1000));
xPropertySet.setPropertyValue("BottomMargin", new uno.Any((Int32)1000));
xPropertySet.setPropertyValue("TopMargin", new uno.Any((Int32)1000));

You could look into SQL queries, parameterised queries, and the System.Data.OleDb namespace. The general sequence of events is something like this:
- Create OleDbConnection
- Put together an SQL query string (hopefully using parameters)
- Create a new DataAdapter, giving it the OleDbConnection and the query string
- Fill a DataTable from the DataAdapter
Then, you make your changes to the table, and Update the DataAdapter.

Your Question is too Basic, i think if you can Google , you will definitely find an Answer. But that will be the last thing you should do. The First thing you need to do is to buy a Book , because is covered in any .NET book that has to do with Databases. You cant learn to program on Forums or on the internet. Buy a Book and read it and if you have questions about what you have read , then we can help.

What happens if you type that into your computer ? Are you using the same username/password you logged in as ? You need admin access to use D$ in a path.
