Hey all:
Can you help how to read the data of Datagrids?
More concisely, I have loaded some data to datagrids.
Now I want to read each elements of datagrids and want to store in some datastrutures( two dimensional array) or other, if possible.
Can any body help me how can I achieved this?

Why don't you read the data from the data sources that you used to populate the grids?

Thanks! Datagrid1.item(row,col) works me.

There are two different ways:
1. is DataGrid.Item(rowindex as Integer, columnindex as Integer) to access (read/write)the value of DataGrid's particular item.
2. is concept based, i.e. Data Grid itself has no rows and columns, it just displays the values of DataSet or DataTable. It means each data grid has dataset or data table, you just need to detach that data set or data table. In order to do that you have to cast the DataSource Property of DataGrid into data table or data set.
Dim dt as DataTable
dt = Cast(DataGrid.DataSource, DataTable)
Now everything is in you hand, mess with them.
Hope this will clear your concept.

1 - try intelligent subjects. Every post here is about VB
2 - VB6 or VB.NET ? Vb6 is a dead language, but some people still use it. If you don't specify, you will get VB.NET replies.
3 - is google broken where you live ? there's an entire site out there dedicated to VB and MySQL, and tons of info, on this site, MSDN, and many others, on SQL Server and VB.

I was able to create setup files with out shorcuts on destop.
Can you help how to get shotcuts on destop and start menu of window??
Thanks

What are you using to create the setup ? I actually include the shortcut files in my setup program, but, I don't let the user set a location.

Hey:
I'm using SetUP project template of Setup and Deployment Project. Even I do include the shortcut files in my setup. It does show. But my problem was the shortcut icons just open the destop. I want the short cut to open my .exe file of my application instead. Like when we click word icon, it opens word file.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Why does the icon point to the desktop ? If you mean that you have a document file which you want to open your program with that document, you need to set that up in the registry.

i want to write a user control that atc the same as panel and keep others controls at himself.
is it possible in vb.net
thx
|
|
|
|
|
All controls can contain other controls, but I assume you want design time support like the panel has. Do do that add this line of code just before the class declaration.
<Designer("System.Windows.Forms.Design.ParentControlDesigner,System.Design", GetType(IDesigner))> _
|
|
|
|
|
You can also use inherits system.windows.controls.panel .

Are you checking username/password of an account on SQL Server 2005 or do you have a user table? Please elaborate a bit more what you are looking to do...

So, respond on the thread, send him an email through the site if he needs your email address. Then he will be sure to get it. Who knows if he even happens to be reading the site when you post this ?
