Well, perhaps you need to word your question better then.
it's still straightforward. Add an onclick to the radio button, which calls a javascript method that does everything I said before.

As you don't show any code, I have to guess. My guess is that you have mixed up server control properties with client element properties.
The javascript property for this is disabled, not enabled.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Hi,
I am having a problem that I have been trying to solve for the last 2 weeks. This might be seen in many travel sites like lastminute.com. The situation is simple. I need an indeterminate progress bar. I enter the search criteria/parameters (From/To Date & Destination) in page ‘A’. I click the search button now. I need to be transferred to Page ‘B’, which is empty but consists of a progress bar like image displaying any message and then I need to be transferred to page ‘C’ where the results will be displayed. I use the term “Indeterminate”, coz the progress bar is displayed based on the time taken (which can vary) to display the results and it not a fixed time interval(Usually with thread. sleep type) like u see in many sites. I am using VS 2005 + MS SQL 2005 + ASP.NET 2.0 + AJAX 1.0. Please help me out.

i think in these cases you cant know how much time the query will take.
better is to show a progress bar image..which keeps on resetting itself every now and then..and as you said move to page C when query returns !
this is what we see on most sites.

Hello,
I am running a customized Blogspot HTML theme on our Blogger site. The address is www.essaychayzee.com, and the problem I'm having is this:
When posting a picture, blogger automatically re-sizes the photo to fit your blog's parameters. This is fine, however, when a user or visitor clicks the photo, it shows the photo at full size as it's supposed to. The problem is that the back button, IE or Firefox will not work. You can click 40 times and it keeps refreshing the same photo.
If you click any other external link from the blog, it works fine. You can visit the external page, and then press the back button, and you will return to the page that you were at previously.
The problem only seems to happen with the blogger photos.

If the back button is behaving strangely, it's because script in the page is causing it to, by navigating forward again, probably.

hai all,
I placed treeview control in my web page.. data are retrieved from the database and that is displaing using this tree view control.If i run that page in internet explorer it is comming fine i.e no problem in alignment..But if i run that application in mozilla firefox the alignment problem is comming..Can u please tell me the solution for that..

Could not load file or assembly 'Sample assembly' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.
But the same web application is executing in other systems. What may be the problem and how to solve it?

In my home install of Firefox I apply this setting as described here

It works fine. However, on my work PC it has no effect. I've not been able to find anything by Googling. Both PCs are running fully patched Firefox 2 and XP SP2. Any ideas?

hi all
in my application iam opening a pop up window by clicking a button and passing the values from the pop up window to parent window.everything till here works fine.but the problem is when the pop up window is in use and if click outside(in the parent window)the pop up window is not blinking but it gets minimised.i want to make the pop up window active when it in use and it has to blink when clicked outside.i have tried using showmodaldialog function also,but when using that another pop up window opens and values are not passed to parent window.iam providing the code herewith through which i opened the pop up window.can anyone help me in fixing this problem....

Don't use pop-ups.
Seriously. They're broken. Intentionally broken. Too many people misused them, and so we had to break them. They're not gonna get less broken either, 'cause folks would just misuse them again.
But, ignoring that, assuming they did work reliably, you still wouldn't want to do that. Because now, you've locked the user's browser window, with all the nice friendly browser-window controls they've become so accustom to, and forced them to deal with your little dialog.
Here's a better idea: if you don't need or want them to see or interact with the page contents, then redirect them to another page and put your dialog stuff on it. If you do want or need them to see (but not interact) with the page contents, then use one of the many "lightbox"-style dialog techniques available to overlay the page with a semi-transparent layer on top of which you can place your dialog stuff (but still all contained within the page itself).
And whatever you do, don't forget to make the Escape and Enter keys work sensibly. If it looks like a dialog, then make it act like one.

You have a few choices:
- Use Javascript to calculate the actual pixel width of the text after it's been displayed, and set that as the minimum width of the container.
- Specify the minimum width in
em units, as the length of the string. This will actually be wider than the minimum required (unless your titles all consist of a varying number of 'M' characters), but might work just fine if you don't have really long titles and don't mind a bit of extra space. - Allow the text to wrap, and specify a minimum width that ensures it won't become so narrow as to look ridiculous (say,
10em). This might break your layout in other ways though. - Set the
overflow style on the container to hidden. This will just clip any text that runs past the end of the box. Depending on what you're going for, this might work... it's what actually happens in a Win32 window caption, so you'd have authenticity at least. - Use a
TABLE. This only really helps if you don't force it to be smaller than it needs to be though.

Problem:
Create an OWA (Outlook Web Access) Add in or customizing OWA – Same as Outlook (2003, 2007) add in for Window Desktop Where we can trap event likes sending/receiving of mail and execute our code. And also add new button in toolbar.
For OWA 2000,2003,2007 - i am not sure it is possible or not and for each version it is diffrent or common.
I am working on .net c# technology.
Any help or inputs will be great ASAP

Consider following use case:
User open browser and give url to check email form exchange server (i.e. http://owa.xyz.com/exchange/)
User click on new button to create a mail
User completed the mail with all details ( To,CC and body of mail)
User Click on Send button
Instead of sending message in normal flow – based on business logic – Custom Form will pop up (form with some controls) -
User will fill data based on form fields
User can have 2 option on form ( Cancel and OK)
Cancel will not send the message and user will remain on same mail page
On click of OK – do process on email metdata and email will send to the targeted persons
Add buttons in existing Toolbar of OWA - (i.e near "New" button or On new mail window - near "send" button)
you can think similar to spell check tool in OWA to visualize the use case.
i have gone through some links - but not sure - how to create Form for OWA - can i use Vistal studio or any specific tool that allows to create Form.
I also need to trap event like
Send event of mail,Read event of mail
I also need to manipulate the email metadata before sending the mail in OWA.

Hi,
I have developed a parser to breakdown a complex text file format. It's written in standard Java n compiled to byte code. Unfortunately the solution was only meant to be a prototype and now people want a web interface.
The question now is how best to implement this? Simply port it all over to javascript? My exposure to jscript is limited to say the least, how difficult would it be. Or is there an simpler solution of calling the compiled byte code solution from an applet?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be most appreciated.

Probably the best thing to be said is that Java != JavaScript. It's not a subset of the language, it's a completely different beast altogether.
An applet is one solution, although a very messy and horrible that no one will want to use. Maybe you can re-use the Java script as part of a server solution? For example, the Java script runs on a server behind some web services that hook up to a web interface.

Hi,
I have a table with 3 rows and 2 columns each.I'm storing the <table></table> in a text file and reading the text when code runs.Then the text file content is put in a literal and shown in the page.
But when the page is rendered in firefox the column borders and row borders are not visible, eventhough the table border specified is coming(Table outline).The same table is shown with row and column borders in IE.
May i get some help on this issue.This is a critical issue.
