The problem is HtmlForm cant be two for each page. Why do you need to create a form when there is one HtmlForm object there within the Page. Create Datagrid within the form, do your job and then remove it..

What the problem using the existing one?

Hello

Actually when I tried to render an aspxgridview with aspxgridview.rendercontrol it displayed an error controls should be placed inside a form tag thats why I have created a form object and disposed it but still when the code reached to the render event it displayed the error page can not have two form tags with runat=server.That is my problem now how I can completely destroy that form object.

But you can put the Gridview inside the form tag, like

...
...
<asp:gridview runat="server" id="g...>
</asp:gridview>
</form>

By this way you are using the existing Form of the page rather than creating a new one.

And your problem will be solved!!

Hello

That Issue has been resolved now I found a solution for that after searching a lot on the net finally I got a solution a simple event code that we have to just place in the form..

public override void VerifyRenderingInServerForm(Control control)
{
// Confirms that an HtmlForm control is rendered for the
// specified ASP.NET server control at run time.
// No code required here.
}

rebdered my control and the page will get rendered smoothly.

Problem With Datalist ItemCommand

Hello,
I have a datalist in which I show some item.when I click on any item its item command is fired.But the problem is the progress bar is start progress after (5-6 sec) and the user think either the site is not working or nothing is happen.Can someone please tell what is the problem and how to solve this.

Please help me.

I have a rdlc file generated.
I have placed a chart control and I want to change the chart type to bar in the code behind. Is there a way to do it?

RDLC is nothing but an XML file....

Read the Xml using FileStream object,
Move to the place

<chart>
<Type>Bar</Type>
</Chart>

And change the type Bar to anything.

You can load the Xml using Stream using LoadReportDefinition method of Reportviewer which has an overload which takes Stream as argument rather than directly passing reportpath.

Hope you got the idea.

Good Day all

I have a Usercontrol that has a Gridview and its hosted on my aspx page and the aspx page is defined like this

I have wrapped all the controls in this page with a updatepanel and as you can see this is a content page of the master page. Now before I had no updatepanel and all the controls are alive and active, after I added a updatepanel I have several controls that does not respond. One of them is the menuActivityDelete, this menu hovers onmouse over , but after the addition of update panel there is no hovering and the grid in the usercontrol does not respond. Now I debugged it by putting a break point and I checked the code behind and It does executes the code but gui stays as freezed.

Yes.. Updatepanel Creates a new form at runtime and posts that with all Viewstate and all to the server. While the page is posted back from the server, the updatepanel will freeze the controls in the client and the user cant do anything with it.

As per my recommendation, I can see you placed everything inside the update panel. Rather than this, it would be fruitful to you if you place only the things that you need in the server side to be posted back.

Use more than one Updatepanels in the page and post only the things that you need through AJAX.

This will do the trick I think. Thumbs Up | :thumbsup:

I have a dropdownlist with existing items. If the user can not find a correct entry in the list, I want him to be able to add a new item to the list immediately. Is there a way in the webform for the dropdownlist area to be treated like a textbox for dataentry purposes.

Better do one thing take dropdowlist, beside ddl put one button called add and when ever click that button its visble textbox and add name replace to submit . i think this way ll be use for u.
