It could be the application pool thing, I'll have to try and find those settings. You can share an application pool for all 1 and a seperate one for 2.0 but they cannot have the same pool. This is an appropriate thing to say to people you're paying for something. The answer is that ASP.NET does not offer this, you need to write it yourself, or find something online that does it. You're going to handle the keypress event on the textbox, in javascript, and check if the character is a number before rejecting or accepting it. When I open the ASP.NET Web Configuration tool in Visual Studio 2005 I click the Provider tab, then I click on the Select a different provider for each feature (advanced) link. Then it takes me to a page which lists my custom membership provider. Normally if you take the default membership provider there is a Test link next to the membership provider.
