Hi Friends
Description of Problem.
A --- User 1
B --- User 2
I have IE 7.0 installed in system.
When A logins the web application (tab no.1 ) a unique session id is created, let it be "555555" and when B logins the same web application using his id in the same browser but different tab (tab no.2) a unique session id is created "666666", but when user A start accessing the screens after login of user B, his session id "555555" is replaced by new session id "666666" (session id in tab no.1 is replaced by session id in tab no.2). So at last in both the tabs you will find screens of User B.
May any one of you explain why this is happening. And also the solution of the above.

All the windows (tabs) in an instance of IE belong to the same client session. To have separate client sessions, you have to start separate instances of the browser.
The server sessions use a cookie to identify the client, and the cooke is stored in the client session. If you want to use separate server sessions in the same client session, you have to use cookieless sessions.

Thanks Guffa
Is there any alternate solution for it? as you cannot force (or ask) clients to start new window.

None other than the alternate solution I mentioned.

Hi All,
I have to freeze TreeGrid. My problem is that I am having a datatable (parent child relationship)from which I am creating TreeGrid using Javascript and html table. Now I have to freeze the first 2 columns and first row of this TreeGrid.
For freezing GridView I am using http://www.codeproject.com/script/articles/list_articles.asp?userid=1654009 this article.
As this class uses GridView control and I am using datatable, i need to make the change but I am not getting how do I start with it.
Please help me...
Thanks in advance.....

Hi,
I need help.
I have created a class "myClass.cs" and I have a default.aspx page.
When I add the following code to to codebehind it works.
TextBox myTextBox = new TextBox();
pl_Holder.Control.Add(myTextBox);
Obviously I added a Placeholder to the HTML page. This code, when I press a button displays the textbox dynamically.
My problem is that I have specified this code in a seperate .cs file and want to execute it. When executing I get an error pl_Holder is not in the current context. I know I should instanciate it but when I do nothing displays on the form.
Can someone please tell me how can I use a control from an .aspx file in a seperate .cs file.
Thank you!

Of course not. Your form contains a placeholder. Your other class creates a NEW placeholder, which is NOT on your form. So, this can't possibly work.
What you're doing is a bad idea, you shouldn't be seperating code out from the page that defines the UI. But, the way to do it, is to pass your actual placeholder instance that you want to add a control to, into the class. A better idea is to have a class generate the control, and put it in the placeholder within your aspx.cs file.

how to add folders and sub folders to a treeview with out their complete path.

Sorry, you need to explain it better than that. If you don't know exactly where to put it, you just have eto choose a spot at random, but I don't know if that helps, your queston doesn't make enough sense.

A memory leak. Poorly written code. Hard to say more without seeing code.

Might because of memrory leak ?
are you using any COM component or 3 party tool ?
Are you creating many objects in your application ?
There are many reasons for this :->
Thanks and Regards

Hi All,
I am currently busy trying maintain some else's code, it is asp.net1.1 within an asp site, they just pasted it a couple of subdirectories and there is issues regarding multiple web.config files in subdirectories and in the root etc.
I don't have any asp.net1.1 experience, only 2.0, and 1.1 compiled everything into a dll as far as I know but I want to see the code behind and the only page that I can view is the aspx, I can't locate the aspx.cs file. Also I can't find the dll, how does this work and where should I start looking for the code behind files.
The guy who did these left the company before I joined so I can't find out from him.
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks in advance

In 1.1, if he built a dll, the page would work without any .cs files, in fact you would deploy it that way. One has to hope there's source control somewhere that includes the full files, or they are on his PC, because if you're looking at where the site was deployed, they will not be there.

That is what I was afraid off, so I will have to redo the page from scratch

If you can view the page, you MUST have code in the aspx, or you MUST have a dll. It's not going to pull it from thin air. Worst case, you can decompile the dll.
