i am using HTMLInputFile control in which i want to accept some limited files like only "*.DOC",
how can i filter them, in vb.net there is Filter option.
BUT incase of HTMLInputFile. what should i do ?

You could use a RegularExpressionValidator[^] control to validate the user's selection. A regular expression like .+\.doc should do the trick.

in one of page of my website, i am navigating through the dataset using "next" button.it is working properly.but now i want if user do not click on button "next" next record should be shown automatically.so i need a timer that can show next record when its time get over.but i donot know how to use timer control in asp.net. i am developing my website in visual studio2005 using vb.net.if you can suggest some examples for this it will be helpful for me.

There is no intrinsic ASP.NET timer control but you can implement a timer using JavaScript. Examples can be found by searching Google[^].
Set your timer up to do a postback at some defined interval and pass back information to the server that indicates which record needs to be selected.

Yes,
What u said is Correct.
U said that all they are image and u need to put sum logic behind this
like keeping image Names as 001,002, so on let say upto 1000 u have ...Name them with numbers only
After that Generate a rondom Number in ur COde using Method Name----> Random()
Once u Get that Random Number which is less than 1000
place that image in image tag so u can solve ur problem

Hi all
I am working on a asp.net2005 application. My problem is i have to get the preview of a image just by browsing the file. The upload control is HTML control so how to display the picture just by browsing the file. I really don't have any solution now. i searched a lot for the solution but didn't got any.
Earlier i did a similar application but that time we had a upload button on the page so it was easy.
