how to call a remote service from javascript using script manager

Hi all,
I have getpoddetails method in courierservice in courier project and i need to use that service from other project.

In another application i added the service by using add web reference.
now i need to call getpoddetails from javascript using scriptmanager

Any one please suggest how to call this added remote service
