Is there any way to retrive the latest post on forums, besides the top ten threads???

Would it be possible to add a direct link to reply to a message in the notification email? Many times, the message fits in the email so I've already read it and just hitting a link to reply would be great.

I been thinking of the samething for a long time. But then there are other probelems too, like a long message is never emaild fully. and sometimes even 2 line message is also not posted completly.

A minor suggestion, Chris...
When reading an article I usually skim it, then crawl back to the top and download the files if I have an immediate need for it, then return to study it in detail and post a comment. This brings me back to the top of the page; from there I have to scroll back to the bottom of the page if I want to rate it. It would be handy to have a rating control at the top of the page, in addition to the one at the bottom.

Would you consider adding a system so users could register to get notified when an article gets updated? There are s many articles that I have found useful that it is hard to keep up with them all. I use the bookmarks, but I do not look at my bookmarks frequently enough to know whether or not certain articles have been updated.

Chris I think this could be very useful, There are many times happen in programming forums for me that I see intresting posts which I want to keep them as tips and tricks but I can't bookmark them like articles. Searching for them in the future is not very useful cause posts become out of date after a while and do not appear in a search results or maybe it is hard to remember a keyword for it or... I think this could be done in some way like you add a functionality in the bottom of each post which send the whole thread with all questions and answers as an email so I have all the thread and I can store it in my computer . Or other way is to add a bookmark mechanism for messages too with additional subject which I can have them always, but I think first one is better cause it doesn't add any database pressure for you. What do you think about this idea?

Chris - are you having problems with the newsletter settings? My settings on CP are set to Plain-Text newsletters, yet the one I've just been sent is in HTML

That's weird.
I'm actually just stripping down the email system now to regrease and check the bearings so I'll double check. I might even add some racing stripes and fins. Who knows.

Nah... I use hotmail... and I dont get mails in the JUNK mail folder also... actually CODEPROJECT newsletter is in my safe list... I just checked!!

How's about a dialog or page that appears when you cast a vote, asking you to confirm that vote?
I just accidentally voted on something when I grabbed at the mouse.

Is there a way to change your vote or unvote for an article? If people work hard and turn a bad article into a good one (or make a good article excellent) I should be able to change my vote for that article.
