As the title says... suggestion is for some kind of last online/last post date (or whatever's more convenient for you to implement) in the display section of who's who... ie: member since 1/1/1900, last online 2/1/1900.

Not sure I like this idea. Do we really need to turn CP into Facebook/MySpace? Seems like an invasion of privacy. Although, you can almost infer that information from the Reputation graph (points are added for logging on on any given day). And as far as last post date, you can look at the member's "Messages Posted" page. The message listed at the top will be the most recent post (the date is shown by it).

What you see on my profile is what I have chosen to let you see (for example, I have a picture of Wikipedia rather than my own mugshot). And with messages posted, you could only see the date of my last message posted; that information is available freely to anybody who happens to notice when you posted that message anyway. It's last login date that seems a little excessive to me.

Seems like their choice to not tell you that. Speaking of choice, wouldn't be a terrible idea to add this as an optional feature. Meaning it can be turned on and off. Probably would want it off by default.

You could save one mouse click by showing an extra field : Last Message Posted on 11/15/2009
But I am against showing the Last Activity Time since that is definitely a privacy issue there.

I realize that I may be speaking for just a few abandoned, orphan programmers here, but it would be GREAT if this site included a category and/or filter for articles that used only Win32 API calls instead of MFC, ATL, .NET or other things like that. Believe it or not, there are still people out here who write in C (not C++, C# or any of those new fangled languages, although we might need to mix in some FORTRAN from time to time).
There are precious few resources available for folks like me and I think that The Code Project would be a great (and logical) place to find "plain" Win32 API example code. If I'm alone, well, so be it -- just ignore me. If I'm not, then maybe, with enough support, the folks running this site might help us out by creating the necessary categories, filters, and whatnot for articles that use C, only the Win32 API, GDI, etc.

I still write some code at this level on occasion, but if I had a question I would use the C/C++/MFC++ forum to post it. Most developers who use C++ and/or MFC will have enough knowledge to answer the sort of question you allude to.

I was thinking more about the library of articles and code examples. When searching for articles, there is no option to filter for "pure" Win32 API, so we C programmers can only try to glean what we know from other examples and work backwards to the APIs themselves. A very simple example of Win32 API articles would be those found at http://www.winapizone.net/tutorials/winapi/[^].
I won't try to plead my case any more than this, I just figured it wouldn't hurt to post the suggestion to see if there was anyone else interested in the same thing. If not, I'm no worse off than I am already... <smile>

Because when a job is displayed to viewers outside the area the employer is interested in, the employer receives dozens, if not hundreds of applications from areas they really, really aren't interested in.
As an employer this is incredibly frustrating. Finding a job can be hard, but finding a great - or even suitable - employee can be just as hard. Employers often don't have the luxury of time and so need to narrow down applicants as best they can.

different members have different "status" (see their personal page), which gives their votes a different weight: none=1, bronze=1, silver=2, gold=4, platinum=?

Whenever I am posting something, it redirects to second page (even if it is the top most post). There, I cannot see page numbers in the bottom to traverse. Is it Chrome? Or some stupid setting I have made?

I am using it for quite a while now. And I sort of like it. It is quick and clean (no toolbars etc). I use FF as well. But it seems quite slow when compared to chrome.
