Shut-up, vote, and reap the whirlwind that is 5 reputation points.

Yeah. You can say that.
The recalc went all well for you.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Actually, when everything was said and done, I lost 3K points from numbers I had on Friday, and lost two spots in overall position. I wouldn't exactly call that a win.

When ever i vote a message now, it shows pop-ups(irritating one's).
I shouldn't call this as a feature.
And have a suggestion of getting rid of same.

I just voted you a 5, but no pop-ups appeared. Is it particular to a one forum?

Not happening to me either, at least not in the Lounge.

What popups? What browser? It sounds like there's a problem with your machine.

Did you *read* the message in the popup window? It's probably telling you that you (or someone at your IP address) is voting too much.

We are working at our company office using some constant proxy.
sadly, we are thousands of us using same proxy
That makes it worst!

This isn't the reason. The voting message appears in the page - there's no popup.

Nope - I've seen it in a pop-up as well.

Do you have javascript enabled? Do you have any ad blockers or ad-ins installed that could cause our javascript to fail?

No Such pop-up today, till now.
Browser: Firefox
JavaScript is enabled
No Add-on's & Ad-blockers
It might be reason John gave, that someone probably is voting too much at my IP.
I don't remember if it is particular to any forum.

No, that won't do it.
The only reason I can see is if there's a javascript error. Can you please check the Error Console in FF for me next time it happens.

This has happened to be on a few occasions with FF v3.6.
I usually close out of FF and that does the job.

Finally, we have this feature... great!
Thanks Chris and team for continous improvement on functionalities.

I was voting messages/questions today (most of them up), and I hit the "someone at your IP address has been voting..." message, but it's been about 20 minutes, and I'm still seeing it. How long does it last?

I think it is a variable feast.
I have had 30min lockouts, or sometimes just 5mins.
I think it is dependant on how many votes you apply in the programming fora.
