OK I understand and am glad to hear that you were "joking" but without knowing and being a first time visitor it caught me off gaurd.
Actually I like to joke around a little also but I just wasn't  expecting the sort of replies that I received since I haven't ever had this happen on another forum but now I know.
:-DSo now what do you really think about adding a Visual FoxPro forum??

In all seriousness I just don't see any demand for FoxPro resources. If a bunch of developers start asking, or start posting FoxPro articles or questions then I'd certainly think about it.

It occurs to me that we need a bug icon for the articles when posting a message. This way, users can see whether the message is a bug or not.

I like the idea. Although, given that even most of the regulars don't change the message icon for their posts, I doubt many posters would use it.

It would be cool if when linking articles from CP using the link and link[^] buttons that it would automatically fill in the description text from said article (
for example, I was linking Chris Maunder's Grid Control article in the C++ forum, and I pasted the link, and pressed the link[^] button.
for example
(replace this text with a description in the article[^]
instead of just showing the link address.

This library is available as open source for Windows/Linux and many other platforms. A patch for the opensource version to use it with Visual C++ 6.0/2003/2005 is available on the internet. So it would be great to a have a message board here on code project to share source code.

A couple of times over the past month or two I've had replies to but didn't receive any email notification for. Most replies I do receive a notification for, but I have no idea what happens to these select few - perhaps they walk along a dangerous road and get kidnapped?

Please consider adding code categories and forums for Database(stored proc...), Java, and maybe even PHP... I know CodeProject's primary focus is on Windows/.NET but our large group of developers probably has a lot to say about other technologies.

The SQL / ADO / ADO.NET[^] covers all database topics.

As with all things, if lots of articles get posted on the subject then I'm sure the CP team will be happy to create new categories to cover the subjects. The Web Development and General Discussion forums should probably be used to PHP and Java questions, if a lot of questions and answers are posted then again I'm sure new forums will be created.

because it is a legacy forum. I'm surprised it is still even around. It hardly ever got used, so it was removed to allow space for more popular discussion topics.

I have just found the following typo in the article submission guidelines:
"The idea is to give the reader a clear of idea of the purpose of your code..."
There's one "of" too much.
