I'll be uploading a fix this afternoon that will allow comments.
As to the alternate posted as a question, you could add a line to your tip acknowledging an alternate method and then delete the alternate.
However, I need to also enhance comments to allow more HTML.

I can't: I haven't got any accept button, or delete button... just a Tip/Trick Moderation Publish button!
Maybe the upgrade will fix it

We're close to finishing the updates to our reporting system that will make this a little easier and nicer.

Just dropped by this question[^] (somone posted a comment to my answer). I found that though none of the answer is marked accepted, yet the Page title shows [Solved] appended to the question title.

Today's daily insider links to this[^] working at Microsoft article which results in a 404 page.

When ever I edit a comment in the QA, publishing status drop-down menu is shown in the top right hand corner. The drop-down has values {Available, Pending and grayed out}
1. I didn't see this except when editing comments
2. The default selection is nothing. Which means the status 'Available' has to be selected in order for the change to show.
Question:
This seems useful feature. Can it be made available when editing say the question or answer.
Suggestion:
Can the 'Available' be the default selection? I have been bitten in the rare many times by forgetting to set it.

That dropdown will be removed.

Is there, or can there be an RSS feed duplicate of your Daily Insider email? I love your daily email its great, sometimes at work I'm dealing with so much expletives that I don't get time to read it. Love to read it on my phone or something on the way home!

This[^] Tip/Trick, currently waiting approval, is a repetition of something which occurs fairly often.
It is an alternate that isn't. It is part of an interchange that has, possibly inadvertently, been posted as an alternate rather than as a comment, as it should be, IMHO.
Now I could copy it as a reply to the comment that I think it belongs to but if I do that there is still no way for me to delete it, nor any easy way to contact the author to ask that he deletes it and posts it in the correct place.
[Edit]
Here's[^] another one.

(I'm not the article author)
I tried getting the zip archive from this article :
Big Number[^]
Extraction fails (winrar, winzip 11.0 7-zip on Vista and default extractor on Mac OSX), as well as browsing the source code from within the article.
Is there a preferred zip format (or compatibility setting) needed when creating and uploading the archive ?
Thanks.

I just downloaded that with no problem. I'm using FF 3.6 and Winzip 14. Why don't you try a different computer?

Works fine for me - W732bit, IE8 and W7s's built in zip utility.

Hi,
The last couple of lines on page does not appear to be centre aligned or justified (in chrome atleast)
Image: Link
Is it intentional or bug?
One appears to left and other two to right top and bottom in footer.

They are justified with the ad.
