You're not the 1st person to worry about this. Not sure I am either, but the silver or better requirement was added a short time after I emailed my concerns. I didn't want to post publicly since it might give some of the usual suspects bad ideas if I was right in my suspicions about the lack of protection in place at the time.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I suggested the following in my response to John:
If the profile being reported is Platinum or above in 1 category or Gold or above in 2 categories, then the auto-ban should require admin approval. That should be a fairly decent fix to this problem.

Why is "Show member profile popups?" below the signature box instead of above with the rest of the check boxes?
PS I still say that adding a border visible without hovering over would make it much more obvious that the signature text was editable.

1. No good reason. I'll change this.
2. Let me experiment. I may have some spare borders out in the shed. Fixed in next rev.

I'm quite nimble with a mouse, a keyboard and an address bar.........these are all new accounts.
I got bored while studying my OU course on AI and decided to go spam hunting on CP instead.......

I'm guessing he used the 'Security Guard on the Front Door technique'. Go to Who's Who and select it so that it displays members by there ID in descending order(New members first), this way you can catch them as they come in.

Close.....but pretty much that technique.

Pub quiz last night...Which D is a name for Oil Drilling apparatus? I couldn't think of it, If your name was Derek instead of Dave I might of.
|
|
|
|

That could have so easily kicked off an argument up here;
Apparatus would be a Drill (as in bit), Structure would be a Derrick.......

|

Your right they did use the word structure.
