One minute it's in the forum list. The next it's gone.

Insider.
(I have a feeling I'm gonna have to explain this, but I'll wait until someone asks.)
".45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly" - JSOP, 2010 ----- You can never have too much ammo - unless you're swimming, or on fire. - JSOP, 2010 ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997

it's gone outside, as spring is in the air.
You can still find it under "Features".

I see "Daily Insider" (email subscribe page), not "The Insider" (forum).
Suggestion for Chris: have the Daily Insider page link to The Insider forum.

I'm talking about the forum.

Ah. Well, I guess it will be back when you least expect it.
|
|

It's gone for me at the moment.
Maybe you saw it going back and forth because they removed it (for whatever reason) and you are seeing a cached version on occassion.

|

And now I can see it again.

Message ID
When I post several messages in a thread, it is impossible to tell which of those messages got an upvote in my reputation list (just shows the message title). If a message ID were also shown in the reputation list, I wouldn't have to click all of them to know they are the same message.
Short Message ID
Even better would be if this message ID started from 0 for each thread (that way, I'm not comparing 12340845 to 12340945... I'm comparing 5 to 25). If you already have an ID for each message in your database (and if those ID's are generated in an identity column), this could easily be accomplished by subtracting the thread starting message ID from the message ID. Not perfect, but workable most of the time.
Message Time
Alternatively, you could show the time the message itself was posted (in addition to the time of the reputation event). Example: "13:30:23" (1:30PM and 23 seconds). That gives me an equally good point of reference (perhaps even better than the short message ID).
Mouse Hover Not Workable
Currently, I could just mouse over the message URL to see an ID, but then I can't compare two easily (that's a lot of numbers to remember).

This is a big reworking of the rep system because of the way we store and retrieve this data.
I'm going to have to say "not this month" on this one.

It seems that articles that have been deleted are getting stuck in the "Articles needing approval" window. One good case-in-point, the Utilites for Java article that was deleleted about 4 days ago has been showing up ever since.

Uhm,
I submitted a tip/trick yesterday (about 20 hours ago) and it's still nowhere to be seen. Haven't recieved an confirmation/status/etc. Am thinking that I must have done something wrong; like NOT reviewing before I posted.
There are a few of these "new method" posts here so, imho, there's evidence of continuous/contiguous conditioned stimulus aversion on the part of some computer automaton

What's the title (or URL) of the tip you submitted? I've looked at your article list and I see 3 tips, 2 of which are deleted.

In this very forum, when I hover over a thread-initiator's name, as well as the profile popup I get a text popup identical to that I'd get on hovering the status icon at the left of the line. [please consider this entry for the mangled English award! ]
For example, if I hover on Indivara's name on the "Deleted blogs..." message immediately below, I see his profile AND a "Fixed" text popup.
Cheers,
Peter

We experienced a temporary SSL outage due to our certificate supplier revoking CodeProject's SSL certificates. We are still waiting to receive a full report from our supplier as to the full circumstances of this SSL outage, but in the meantime if you are experiencing the error "The server's security certificate is revoked" while using our secure pages for modifying your settings, or for logging on, then it is most likely a caching issue.
To clear SSL state open IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Clear SSL State
In general, to flush the certificate cache on a machine you use
certutil -setreg chain\ChainCacheResyncFiletime @now
