Unique Message ID in Reputation List AspDotNetDev15-Mar-12 9:47 AspDotNetDev 15-Mar-12 9:47  Message ID When I post several messages in a thread, it is impossible to tell which of those messages got an upvote in my reputation list (just shows the message title). If a message ID were also shown in the reputation list, I wouldn't have to click all of them to know they are the same message. Short Message ID Even better would be if this message ID started from 0 for each thread (that way, I'm not comparing 12340845 to 12340945... I'm comparing 5 to 25). If you already have an ID for each message in your database (and if those ID's are generated in an identity column), this could easily be accomplished by subtracting the thread starting message ID from the message ID. Not perfect, but workable most of the time. Message Time Alternatively, you could show the time the message itself was posted (in addition to the time of the reputation event). Example: "13:30:23" (1:30PM and 23 seconds). That gives me an equally good point of reference (perhaps even better than the short message ID). Mouse Hover Not Workable Currently, I could just mouse over the message URL to see an ID, but then I can't compare two easily (that's a lot of numbers to remember). Thou mewling ill-breeding pignut! We are still waiting to receive a full report from our supplier as to the full circumstances of this SSL outage, but in the meantime if you are experiencing the error "The server's security certificate is revoked" while using our secure pages for modifying your settings, or for logging on, then it is most likely a caching issue. I got an email today saying Simon_Whale commented on my tip/trick: One guideline every VB.NET project should follow![^]. However, when I went to see it I noticed two things. First the new comment layout messed up older comments. The comment I seemingly made to my own tip/trick is actually a reply to the comment below it. This looks like a bug. Second, Simon_Whale's comment wasn't there. Either he deleted it quite fast after posting it (and there was no obvious reason why he should), or it isn't visible for some reason. I can still see the upvote I got in my rep points, so my guess is I can't see it. Is this a bug or am I looking wrong? It's an OO world.
