The 'answer' button is for answers. That's why it says 'answer' on it. The 'comment' button, is for comments, and the 'edit' button is for editing your post. I guess the answer is that you need to learn how to do what you want, using the existing functions and then write some code to do it. A quick google gave me tons of info, and online examples.
