Its not really a competition but more of a challenge I hoped to overcome.
I've read some stuff on pattern recognition but none helps me as much as i'd need.

makes sense but am actually thinking of memory though my main concern is getting the robot to work. I have to agree with Dave, it all depends with what the microcontroller supports. Thanks everyone.

As I mentioned in my Q I love C++ but I hear that its not good for microcontroller/embedded system programming. Is it possible to use C++ to code an embedded device without having to worry alot about memory usage?

yeah, thats why I chose It as the solution. No offence but It wouldn't hurt to pass such useful links coz you might just save someone hours of googling.

gee, thanks but am just curious if all other escape literals have 'codes'. I mean, did you cram '0x8' or you have a list somewhere? Either way sounds like a messy affair.

thanks, sounds like what I need but,um, what is the backspace character look like? I know '\n' is for a new line and '\t' for tab but backspace doesn't ring a bell.

I suppose it aint that clear. The application architecture will do just fine coz all I need is a network hub to connect the PCs, right? About IIs and WCF, could you please tell me more about it coz I really dont know such advanced stuff.

I stand corrected knowing that am not the best coz am just getting a grip of c#. Could you please tell me how I can prevent an sql injection? I know one way is to prevent string concatenation but then what do I put in the sql code in the section (select id from [table] where id = ' " + somevalue + " ' ) . Ignore the previous problem and assume all we need is an id where the name is the value of a combo box and no prior filter has been done.
Please help.
