Do you have permission to create a file on the server folder (~/photos/nikul) ?
put the code inside a try and catch block and write the exception error on page, it will give you the exact error...

but I think if you do only one conversion from string to DataTime is good idea v/s you do 3 substring operations do find your result, in future if want day/month/year in any other format you can get it easily. thanks once again..

download javascript files from any website where you like javascript calender (files paths whould be there in page header, check page source). check source of the page and find out how the popup opening function is attached with button...
generally javascript calenders come up within 1 or 2 javascript files and a opening function
