I m just giving u hints

1. First of All Applly Query to Take out the records.

2.Then fill them in a particulary lable by using
lable1.text="xyz";

for(index=0; index<=4000; index++)<br />

label1.Location.X = index;	//This Produces<br />
lable1.Location.Y = index;	//marquee effect<br />
}

Do this for each product

I'm really not sure how to respond to this, and still be polite. I think it's best that I just suggest that it's great you want to help, but while I generally disapprove of giving people full code solutions for what is obviously homework, I'd also say that if you're going to give someone code, try testing it first, the sort of person who is looking to be given code, isn't likely to be capable of debugging it.

There are fundamental issues with this approach, to start with. If you move a label about, you don't really get a marquee, and you end up with a bunch of code you need to write every time you want to move text.

This code is an utter disaster

1 - it plain won't work
2 - no-one has a resolution that big, if it did work, the text would soon disappear
3 - it tries to move it in both the x and the y, a marquee moves only in the x

I'm afraid that your being unable to work out at least some of these things, and to work out how to modify the code so it at least compiles, is a firm indication that you're probably not quite ready to try and do this. I assume this is your first class assignment, I recommend just doing the parts that were assigned to you, and not worrying about anything fancy until you've learned some basics.

Yes, the new code you posted will probably work, although it's definately not how I would have done it, I'd do it the way it's probably done in the article that's been linked to, creating a control where the text scrolls across the area of the control, rather than having to write code for each string, to move a label control the right amount. Doing it in a control also allows for text to disappear to the left, and appear to the right. However, yes, I did see the code you posted, and so long as he works out to add a timer as well, it looks like it should scroll the text just fine.

You're new in C#, and you're writing a stock application ? I assume this is for a class.

The advice you've been given is vaguely on the right track. You should create a label control which draws itself in the marquee fashion. It can draw it's text using an offset, or just shuffle the string it shows ( move a letter at a time ). You set the positions within a timer, so you have a chance to see each one, and you need to call Invalidate() each time, if you draw it yourself.

The code you were given isn't going to do anything useful, but it has got a rough idea right, that you need to change the location of text so it will move

Seriously, if you don't know how to do it, don't try to tell someone else how to do it. Changing the number won't make it repeat itself, you need all sorts of code that belongs IN the control to do that. Not a whole lot, but enough to make it messy if he has to do it manually.

I recommend you both look at the article that has been linked to, if you want to know how this is done.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
