what i want to do is...in the code to copy that particular file from a remote system..i hav to insert this ipaddress present in the textbox...because in the textbox the ipaddress and consequtively the remote machine address changes(since i hav list of active logged in remote systems,frm that i will choose one ipaddress that will b displayed in the textbox...)..cleared??

OK
you need to copy a file bases on user input IP address
If IP address is not correct then you will have to check login user and his IP address
Then do following things (My suggestions)
1. When user gets logged in store his IP address in the Session or DB.
2. Use this IP address to copy the file or user input IP address.
If you can get the IP address when he logged in then why are you asking him to prvovide in the TextBox ?

I want to assign Roles to user while creating User account using User control. Not using Administrator Control pannel.
Can I call Administrator control pannel from Hosted site.

Use this to get all roles: Roles.GetAllRoles
Then loop through the values and add them to a checkboxlist or some other control
When the user is created, loop though the checkboxlist and add the roles to the created user

It is not possible to disable the close(X) button of the pop up window using script.

Are you talking about the standard javascript alert window or something customized one. If it is JavaScript one then I would say that its not possible but for customized one you can do it using document.getElementById(controlID).style.visible = false.

i am using asp.net 3.5 i written mail sending functionality , sometimes i am getting following error msg

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

Before delivering the mail, handshaking[^] is happening and you are getting error there. So I believe, this could be a server issue.

Yes. you can use multiple web.config file in your application. But, in this scenario, you don't need to use multiple web.config.
You can create multiple connection string for different database.
