Hi, all.
I know there is list view control for using at window form in C#.
in order to use it, I can add easily list view control in C#.
and there are drag and drop, drag enter, drag over and drag leave events in property of list view control.
But!! I can't use that in webform, asp.net.
maybe..is there any control like list view control usable in asp.net??

well, drag and drop facility is browser specific. so there is no such event which will trigger in the server if browser drag takes place.
Its true browser DOM has limited functionalities than Windows forms....
You have to use normal Dropdownlist only, or create a custom control that suits your need.

but better use a datalist[^] in this case.

was it going to inconvinience you if you took the data from Excel to the SQL Database and from there to the Gridview?
a Gridview is not a Database nor Storage utility. So you need to store your data in the database first and display your data in the gridview

Hi All,
I've a page as shown below

------------------------------
---MENU---IFRAME
When I click on menu the iframe part loads with new page in the iframe.
Now the problem is, there is one Ajax Modalpopup extender in the iframe page.
when I show the modalpopup It shows only within the Iframe.
How can I bring the modalpopup window out side the iframe(I want to cover the modalpopup in the entire window.).
I'm stuck with this in last 3 days...

Actually IFrame loads the entire page within a page, I think if you load the same inside a div or normal dom object except frames, the problem will be solved.
Otherwise, you can use modalpopup extender in the outer page.

hi all
i have two different report of same data i.e pie report and bar report. i have added a dropdown to my .aspx page and added these report into it. and set its autopostback porperty true. now
when user generate report by daulft pie report is shown. now i want when user select bar report from dropdown i will change the report
code:
reportviewer1.localreport.reportpath="bar report path"
reportviewer1.localreport.refresh()
note: data source is same
but report not changed. where i m wrong or what i m missing..??

you can pass selected report type by query string on button click and on second page you can show that report which will work accurate
in current situation you must be missing some thing or you have not explained your problem properly...

try to debug the application and check report type is changing or not?????
if it is showing first report all the time that means on post back clear selection is taking place....

I have a doubt. I have developed a web application.
I have 3 servers to handle the requests for web page, IIS server, Apache server and a database server.
My question is, how can i know which server is handling my request or will handle my request for a particular web page?

You have three different servers ? Or they all have IIS, Apache and a database installed ? How are they configured ?

Actually i was asked this question in an interview.
I don't know how they are configured.
I just want to know that suppose all 3 are installed then how can i know which one will handle my request.

I'm sorry, you failed the job interview, by a long shot. You showed them that you have no idea how web development works.
The database server will not handle any web requests.
The Apache server cannot handle ASP.NET requests.
The IIS server will therefore handle all ASP.NET pages.
