Hi,
it is easy to get the client IP-Address with
<br />
Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"]<br />
If the client pc is a part of your intranet than you could try to use DNS to resolve the computer name from the IP. If this is not the case, you could try to accomplish this by using JavaScript, to get the name on the client side and then send this information to your server.

I don't think so that you will able to retreive computer name. YoU will just get the IP Address.

heloo all i'm new here and i need some help..i thinked and thinked and broke my head still wondering...then ..i have to ask some help from you, my project is creating and system for a hotel , below are my screen design and the only code i know is response.redirect("--"), sigh~
software that i use is webmatriks...thanks for helping me...
this is my screen design, name is profitbook.aspx,profitbook is a bit easier, input directly from there, if there were any data from the database then it will be shown at the textbox,the calculate button is use for auto calculate, which means it auto take the price and times with the duration for that rows...
second 1 is
this 1 is record book, use for the room record, simple but i still figuring it out 
ok, the system for this page is:when i click the room button for example, s1,then the duation for the s1 textbox is input-able,for avoiding wrong inputing data, another hard part is the data also shown in the textbox and the status is shown "FULL" if there were a data for that room in the database,
the database i use is xml, i tried microsoft access and it was very hard....
help me please...

okay, let's first try to sort. You are building a reservation website, am I right? And you want to show if a room is full or not?
So what are the missing functions? What do you want to know exactly? I didn't get the question.

I had to do something similar to this at University. I did it myself, before such sites as CP or even Google. I aced it. Another member of the class asked me to help him and I did. But I soon realized he just wanted me to code it all for him, so I embedded enough bugs and ignored the requirements sufficiently such that he'd never ask me again.

i am using an upload control for uploading files to server in my application but it fails for large files of (780MB) are not uploaded by this control.so is there any size capacity for upload control in asp.net.if yes how can we increase it.

Default size for Fileupload is 4 MB. But you can configure it in web.config
in this way

the default is "4096" (4 MB). Max value is "1048576" (1 GB) for .NET Framework 1.0/1.1 and "2097151" (2 GB) for .NET Framework 2.0.

Haven't you been asking this over and over ?
Even if you configure the control to accept a file that big ( and it's just a layer in ASP.NET, that rejects files above a certain size, at the end of the day, it's still just a HTML file control ), your server is going to almost certainly time out before it receives that big a file. That's not what HTTP is for. Why do you need to get a file that big.

iam placing a multiline textbox in the aspx page .the problem is that user entering data as like below

it is accepting the text but when iam storing this data and getting the data in the next page in another multiline text box iam getting the screen expanded and horizontal scroll bars are comming and screen is not looking nice how to resolve this problem.

i think u r using "div" tags if so just mention the width and height of the textbox.
if u r not using "div" also do the same thing it may work...

Dear all,
I am using asp.net2.0, C# ,sql server 2005 and ssrs2005
I created a report using reporting services which navigates to other report that is subreport There is two issue one is when I click either on drilldown or next page of subreport it take me back to main report. But when I perform the same activity with
Sql reportviewer everything goes successfully
I did google search I received below url which suggest to run reportviewer.exe I install it again and again , No success yet

i wish to create a new user and give authorization to this user from my asp page. I got the code for authentication but dont know how to give authorization to this user from my C# codebehind page.

What do you mean by 'authorisation' ? When someone logs in, you'd typically store their user id in the session and then write your pages from a common base that checks for this session value and jumps to the login page if it's missing.
