I find a repeater is the best way to render two levels of data, but you can use any data bound control you like, just bind to the inner data in the row bound event of the outer one.

Can you just tell me little bit logic so that i can start. I am retrieving all the question, element id from database using survey id.I want to use datalist control?

I would return a dictionary, with the keys being the questions and the values being the list of answers. I'd store it as a member variable. Then I'd bind to the keys collection, and for each key, I'd find an inner bound control that renders the answers, and bind to the matching list of answers.

I am using membershipprovider for login.When i tried to get the password of a user password retrival is not set error occurs .How can i get the password of a selected user so that i can change the password of the user using membership.changepassword method.Please help me to solve this error.

Im working for a portal where i have to display various aspects in that page... one of them is displaying videos in my site..
Concept is, ill upload new videos in ftp and i ve to show those in my page.
Its something which is new to me and so i mandatorily need your help guys

You show videos by embedding a control that plays them in your site. Go to a site that plays videos and check out the html it generates. I think youtube use thier own player, you need one that uses windows media player.

hi...i need to give the path of the webservice(which is running in another machine) in the serviceReference....if the webservice is in our solution then we use the following code
asp:servicereference path="~/WebServices/MySampleService.asmx"
but now my webservice is in another machine which is published.... i have written code like this...
asp:servicereference path="http://12.18.15.17/WebServices/MySampleService.asmx" <br />
but the javascript throws error "Mysampleservice" is undefined...
..can anyone suggest me how to fix this?

I open modal popup windows using java script in asp.net.

Popup window is open well. But, there is lot of text on Test.aspx. Now, I want to select text for copy. But text is not selected. I would like to know that how to select text and right click of mouse on modal popup?
If, is there alternative way to do this please tell me.

That's what modal means, you can't interact with the parent form.
You could use a floating DIV, which could be modeless.

i am using asp.net2.0 ,C# .
let me tell you scenario.
i built a web application called daily call report that have two classes in the folder app_code and other aspx file and its code behind file.
now i have to deploy this web application but problem is I have to incorporate this web application other web application that is my site will run thrugh other application whenever user select to go my site.
now i published my whole project and placed the all dll inside root folder (that is i placed my aspx pages inside folder called dailycallreport and all respective dll to bin folder ) now issue is the classes i have wriiten generates app_code dll and it conflict with existing app_code dll. i placed bin inside dailycallreport folder but i is not recongnizing . client is not giving all classes they used so it not possible to overwrite the same app_code i would like to know how can i placed my class file dll so that other setting does not affect ..
please suggest something.

Hi all,
may be this is a very simple question but i am just getting wild on it. i have image path in a database and and its description which is a very long text now i want to display image in left and its description in right. I have table and in one row in td i have imaneg and in another i have is descrtion

now what happens is that i get a very long string in descriptin in single line so its td gets wider how can i fix this.so that the string is displaye like 100 charecter perline
i know this is very simple question but some time we get stuck.
one more question (not important to replay) does ane one provide me with idea like how can i make site like that of newspaper means layout once agin this question is really not importat to replay but earlier one i am just stuck

Ive read many an article where it suggests that having a website with a newspaper layout is very bad for usability.
There has to be a point where the text on screen is displaued differently to that of a newspaper.
What you could do is put an image in the top corner and make it look like a corner of a newspaper for style affects, however i think the text should be displayed normally.
Regarding your first question, I would just limit the lenght of the column that should move it onto the next line

EDIT 2: I've checked all the references and they are fine, now I get a different error ...

I used to get a lot of errors about LINQ earlier.
You need to re-create the references again for LINQ from following path:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5
