Why are you not just databinding to the table?

Hi,
I have a webservice in ASP.NET 2.0 and I am using DebugView to trace a
problem
with my webservice.
My webservice basically passes back a dataset after passing it a SQL
statement string
and a connection string.
I found a problem with the service that my connection string was wrong so I
passed it a new
string with the change but the service keeps giving me the same error and
when I look at
DebugView it shows the same connectstring that I had passed the first time
with the error.
It does not matter what I pass my service DebugView is showing the orignal
parameters.
Weird!!!!!
Any ideas why this might be happening? Is it cahing the parameters somehow?

Erhm, maybe you should post some code or something we can examine to help you... Just the message 'something goes wrong' just isn't enough...

Probably the connection string is being read from an old source, for example if you are running it with a reference to the release build and have only build the debug again since you changed the string.

Strange ! Have you made any changes to the webservice and forgot to update the web reference in the application ?

I created the webservice proxy using the WSE 3.0 wsewsdl3.exe tool
But when I updated my service as the interface has not changed I
did not regenerate the proxy.
Could that be why?
Also I am trying to get a SOAP message viewer to see what the service is getting.

NO the regenerated proxy gives the same error.
When i debug the code I can see the that the service call
parameters are been passed the new changed connectstring so......
Any other ideas?

Hi all!
I have a Calender control on my Page, with a map underneath (The map uses a rather large amount of band-width)
Now, due to the map's code, it has to be created on Page_Load (I didn't code it... But HAVE to use it - Work -_-)
What I'm wondering, is if there's a way to make the Calender control stop causing my Page to refresh every time the date is changed, or if not, if there's a different Calendar control besides
<asp:calendar id="Calendar1">
I've seen some site's with those litle Calendar Icons that you click, and they display a Calender... (They don't cause the page to refresh)... Ideas Anyone?

those are javascript calendars....
available free online...just search on google...dude

You might find a calendar in the ajax controls.
Maybe the reason the other calendar is refreshing is because they are posting back to the server and then come back in a different state.

Use the ClientID property of the control on the server side, and inject it as javascript so that you have a variable that contains that value, on the client side.

var txtTextBox="<%=txtMyTextBox.ClientID %>";
Get Value From This
var myValue=document.GetElementByID("txtTextBox");

exact approach dear
but use
var myValue=document.getElementByID(txtTextBox);
instead of
var myValue=document.GetElementByID("txtTextBox");
or we can save a variable by using
var myValue=document.getElementByID("<%=txtMyTextBox.ClientID %>");

Oh, I see. Yes, the G needed to be a g, AND the name needed not to be in quotes, so as to use the variable that was being declared.
