I have made webpages in asp dot net 2005 using C# and sql server 2005.My project name is "ubility" and the ip of server is 192.168.1.49.Now the problem is when i want to access it using "http://localhost/ubility", though it shows the directory listing, it doesn't show the page when i click to any link.And the second problem is when i use different computer and want to access the client page,i couldn't get it.I have used the address like "http://192.168.1.49/ubility" to get accessed of the project but it doesn't give the output.I mean it doesn't even show the directory listing. In this case, the error message is "Page can't be displayed." When i try to publish the project to the client side, it couldn't publish also.So how can i get the solution of this problem ??? My iis version is 5.

you can't play with client browser

hi
i have 3 pages.
1.signup.aspx->this page just enter u r email,password and click proceed button. it will redirct to verify details.aspx page
2.verify details.aspx->this page whatever u enter the signup.aspx page sre display here using session.verify u r email and password and click the register button.it will redirct to register.aspx page
3.register.aspx->this page i click browser back button.it will not go verify details.aspx page
and also
i tried session.abandon method.but it is not work
how can achive this?

DO one thing before page loading check the session values if you are in register page put that value in session ...
suppose
Login Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Login
verif Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Verify
Register Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Register
but while assining value in verify page check session value if it contains Register then redirect it to again Register Page
also add this code in aspx of every page

<meta http-equiv="Expires" CONTENT="0"><br />
<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" CONTENT="no-cache"><br />
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache"><br />

Register Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Register
i have one doubt what is the 'CurrentPage' and Login (['CurrentPage']=Login )

I mean that to store the page name in session so that you will come to know user on which page
Suppose When you are in Register Page and you click on back button then
in page load you will see what is the session value if it Register means user was on Register page (back button clicked) so redirect it to Register Page instead of verify .....
In short check the work flow ..

Put this error into gooelg u will get near about five of code from microsoft
in that code just jave to put u r username,password and servername then
this error should not come again?
This error could not occur because u r sending message to 500 users.

This is a network related error. Your application cannot connect to the mail server specified.
SmtpMail.SmtpServer
1)Is a valid SMTP Server
2)Check to be sure the server System.Web.Mail is executing on can connect to the mail server. Some times firewalls or proxy servers can get in the way.
3)Try specifying the value by IP address. Poor DNS resolution can sometimes hinder name lookups.
4)Make sure the that the mail server is running at port 25.
5)If you did not specify a SmtpMail.SmtpServer property, or if SmtpMail.SmtpServer points to "localhost" (or the equivalent), be sure the SMTP Service is running on port 25.
For testing purposes change the MailMessage.From and MailMessage.To properties to an address that exists on SmtpMail.SmtpServer. Some times this exception is thrown, when it really is a relay issue.
also try this
SmtpMail.SmtpServer.Insert( 0, "127.0.0.1 or your mail server name here")
Also make sure Anonymous access is allowd.

Hi everyone, I am developing one web application using C#.Net. I want to add facility for up loading the video file. When user upload video at that time I WANT TO CONVERT IT INTO WMV FORMAT for that I am using WMcmd.vbs command line WMV converter my complete line is

I am trying to run it into sql server and it gives message that Query executed successfully. but on system tray it will display one message like "Microsoft (R) Console Based Script Host stopped working and was closed".
So how can I execute this procedure to convert any format's file to another format's file. from command line only. or suggest me the another WMV converter which can convert movie clip to wmv format from command line. It's very urgent pls if u can then help me.

Hi,
I am trying to displaying image when the user clicks on upload button after browsing image by FileUpload COntrol. This time I just displaying image not saving image. ANd saving it afterwards.
This works fine but the problem is that when user browse image from system drive like: C:/ then this arrangements does not display image.
Have anybody idea for this problem then replay me immediately.

FYI - this is rude.
Where are people browsing from ? If they browse the file system, how does this relate to ASP.NET ? Or do you mean if the site is on the local machine and you browse to a page ? How does that matter, will anyone do that when it deploys ?

1 - what is the error message ?
2 - what does the dll do ?
3 - are you expecting to call it on the server, or the client ?
4 - why are you using a COM dll at all ?
