if you import the namespace 'System' in you code page, then you can just use Object which is the same as 'System.Object'

Hi all,
Could any one help me out. I have created a com dll in vc++ and willing to add reference in asp.net 2.0. Once I succeed but not able to add namespace as well as not able to access any methode. Its a spillting headache for me. Please help me out....

Hi Sapan,
Add the com dll by following method.
1) Right click on the project->select "Add Reference"
2) Click on COM Tab, browse the dll, then click OK button
Inside the page_load event, Create the object of the class which is defined
in the dll. If you have namespace in the COM Dll, then use like this
<namespace>.<class name>
then access the method from the object created.
Note:-
1) unless you defined the method in the class as static or shared you cannot
access the method directly.
2) you cannot access the class method in the import or using statement
3) you must declared the class as public class
4) access the method of the object created is done only in the function
and cannot be done in the declaration
I think this will help you to solve the problem, if you couldn't, message me.

Hi, i have displayed my set of records in my datagrid using stored procedure...,
Now i want to display those records as my user friendly...,
Means,See in my screen i will give two or three radio buttons...,
In that one will be id wise,second one will be name wise another one will be in designation wise...,
Now with out server interrupt, i want to display the records based on the radio button selection..,
It will be possible in only javascript...,
Anyone have idea to solve this probs?,

Do you mean that you dont want to refresh screen when an option is selected ??
Have you heard anything about AJAX?? Search this in google and you will find tons of examples..
There is something called as UpdatePanel which will refresh only within panel. Explore more on this and it is very interesting.

hi,
In my application user submit data from different parts of the world.
I am using asp.net 2003 and MSSQL 2000.My webserver is in USA.
I have a user table with fields uid,countryid,pwd,msg,wrkdate and
country table also.The wrkdate filed is set as default value is getdate().it insert default value too ie usa date with time.
When a user from India submit a data , in database it inserts USA date.
my need is i want to insert the user's country date and time.i know to pick the date and time of the clinet machine using javascript. but it is not convenient bcoz it will aid user to insert back date or forth date.
is der any function availbalke in MSSQL to solve this pblm or any other idea to solve this like fix USA time as base time and add time differnce to each country....

If you want to search in the database then you can use stored procedure to search the keyword.
For web site search: are you storing the content some where if so then you can directly search there itself.

To search the keyword in database you can use like keyword in sqlquery. And to get the code on how to execute the stored procedure from asp.net you can get it from Here[^]
